Summary:

Mendocino Dream

This peaceful and sunny family-friendly vacation rental sits right on the edge of Russian Gulch State Park and offers ocean views, lovely architectural details, and modern comforts including a private hot tub out on the spacious deck complete with a gas grill. An outdoor shower adds convenience during your stay. With an open floor plan, there's plenty of space for relaxing and entertaining here! You'll also enjoy skylights and a gorgeous, wood-burning fireplace.



The Space:

The large, well-equipped kitchen includes an eat-in table, all major appliances, and large windows for plenty of natural light. After a hearty breakfast, lace up your hiking boots and set off on an excursion to Russian Gulch State Park. Here, you'll find beach access and scenic waterfalls, so be sure to take plenty of photos! This home's central location is two miles north of the heart of Mendocino village and eight miles south of Fort Bragg. No matter which direction you head off in - you'll find something to do here!



Firewood is not provided for the fireplace. Streaming services are available using your own accounts.

Amazing place

Everything was as expected and better. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this place and company. They were easy to communicate with and check in was easy. Wifi works great, perfect place for families with kids or adults who want a nice shared place to stay.

Wonderful home away from home.

Check in to this lovely home was easy. Communication came in a timely manner about location and door codes and check out. The kitchen is huge and full of all the utensils, pots, and knives you could use—all you need is the food! Everything is as pictured. A lovely cozy home complete with hot tub, foxes and deer to watch and a state park with million dollar views just minutes away.

Great property! Wish the grinch would’ve let us use the playroom as well. Especially with a teenager. Cleaner than most rentals, but spiders in the bathtub, animal feces by the outdoor shower. Still wonderful quiet place

Beautiful home in a lush setting.

Every room was beautifully decorated, comfortable beds. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of dishes, silverware, glasses and mugs. We noticed it too long for the water to hot in the bathroom near the bedrooms. Because we are very water conscious, we mostly used the shower next to the kitchen.

Water was shut off unexpectedly!!!

The water kept shutting off during short showers. This wasn’t told to us before our stay. Also the coffee maker didn’t work other wise it was nice

Loved it!

Everything was amazing! My kids, little brother, and I had a great time. We were close to everything we wanted to do and we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves at the house with the great views and the peaceful and serene surroundings. Not to mention enjoying the hot tub before going to bed. We definitely will be coming back.

Comfortable stay close to the village

We enjoyed the easy check-in, backyard deck, hot tub, spacious and open living/dining rooms, partial ocean view, nice landscaping, birdsong and birdwatching opportunities, and close proximity to Mendocino Village and Fort Bragg. Bed was comfortable. Minor complaint was that most windows didn’t open, making it somewhat challenging to let in fresh air. Also would have liked access to Netflix, etc. on the TV. Price at the time we booked was a good value.

Great weekend trip! The home interior feels much larger than it appeared in the photos. Great private location right off the highway. We will definitely be back for a longer stay.

Last minute getaway

Needed a last minute change of scenery! Kids were able to do school without issues. Hot tub was on and ready for use when we got there. As a kid my best friends dad owned this house and I spent many a weekend here, it was just as i remembered! Love the property and the house and the location is perfect!

Perfect relaxation

This property was perfect for what we were looking for. A cozy living room, huge well stocked kitchen with a table to seat all, large deck with plenty of seating and beautiful view. The hot tub was an added bonus and much enjoyed! We were able to hike on several trails, go to the beach, and visit several cute coastal towns, as well as the Point Cabrillo Lighthouse.

Happy returns

This was my second visit and we like the quiet private location. The house feels cozy and large dining table makes a great space for enjoying board games and making homey meals for the group(6). Also great to have such a beautiful walk to Russian Gulch State Park’s picnic area trail, right out of the front door!

Quiet and serene yet close to everything

We enjoyed the cabin like feel. The hot tub was a hit also. Nice to have the washer and dryer after those long hikes to clean up and be ready for the next days adventures. My bed was too firm but no one else complained. Everyone loved the bedding and soft blankets to curl up in. The kitchen had everything we needed as well as the bathrooms.
