Fattoria Valtellina is a private four-bedroom luxury farmhouse with swimming pool, set in the rolling hills of Chianti. Owned by the same family for generations and thoughtfully restored by Domenico Minchilli Design of Rome, the home combines historic Tuscan character with modern comfort, including air conditioning, and sweeping vineyard views.



With daily housekeeping included and optional concierge services available, it offers a refined yet relaxed base for exploring the heart of Tuscany.



The Space:

Set on a hillside and surrounded by olive groves, oaks, and vineyards, this centuries-old villa has been restored with understated elegance. The main house features three en-suite bedrooms, stone floors, exposed beams, and two working fireplaces, along with spacious living, sitting, and dining areas and a fully equipped kitchen.



A separate annex houses a fourth en-suite bedroom that can be arranged as a twin or double, offering flexibility for families or groups. Outdoor living is central to the experience, with classic Italian terraces, shaded pergolas, alfresco dining areas, and a 12m x 6m swimming pool overlooking the countryside.



Guest Access:

Guests enjoy full and private access to the entire villa, including the gardens, swimming pool, terraces, and annex. Daily housekeeping is provided for approximately three hours per day, six days a week (excluding Sundays). Additional services such as grocery shopping, private chefs, and curated experiences can be arranged in advance or during your stay.



The Neighborhood:

Located in Rietine, just outside Gaiole in Chianti, the villa sits in the heart of the Chianti Classico wine region. The surrounding countryside is dotted with castles, vineyards, and historic villages. Nearby Radda in Chianti and Gaiole offer open-air markets, medieval architecture, ceramic studios, and a vibrant local wine culture.



Getting Around:

A car is recommended to explore the region comfortably. Access to the villa is via a well-maintained gravel road. Scenic cycling and walking routes begin just outside the villa, including sections of the famous strade bianche used in the L’Eroica race.



Siena makes for an easy day trip, while Florence is approximately 90 km away. The nearest airport is Florence, around 1 hour and 15 minutes by car.



Other Things to Note:

Sustainability is a guiding principle of the home, with eco-friendly cleaning products and an electric vehicle charging station available.



Please note that access to the villa includes a slightly steep gravel road of approximately 350 meters. The property is not recommended for guests with limited mobility due to multiple steps throughout the grounds.



A tourist tax of €1.50 per person, per night is collected in cash for the first seven nights, as required by local regulations. Guests are also required to complete a check-in form after booking; details will be provided upon reservation.
