We spent years looking for a place where our family could escape the noise of the city, and the moment we saw the rolling hills surrounding LisnÄu, we knew we had found home. We are excited to share this slice of Transylvanian heaven with you.
I am Istvan, director of Conservation Enterprise and Community Relations at Romania's largest conservation organization, Foundation Conservation Carpathia. Lizno is our family project, where my wife, children, and I are preparing the location for an unforgettable stay.

Why we chose LisnÄu?
We fell in love with LisnÄu because it feels like a place where time has slowed down, yet it is incredibly connected to everything that makes Transylvania famous.
The Authentic Village Vibe: Unlike the busy, crowded tourist centers, LisnÄu has kept its traditional charm. We chose this neighborhood because it offers a sense of peace that is hard to find nowadaysâwhere you can still hear the sheep bells in the distance and see a sky full of stars at night.
The Perfect "Middle Ground": We wanted a location that offered total privacy without isolation. Being just 45 minutes from the vibrant energy of BraÈov and 40 minutes from the wild beauty of the Vama BuzÄului Bison Reserve means we never have to choose between a "city day" and a "nature day."
A Paradise for Families: As family people ourselves, we were drawn to the safety and openness of the area. It is a neighborhood where the air is crisp, the traffic is almost non-existent, and kids can rediscover the joy of playing outdoors.
