We've stayed there several times and the property is always clean, the kitchen is very well stocked and there is plenty of bedding and towels for all guests. There is good access to the river for those fishing enthusiasts. I highly recommend.

Outstanding Cabin on the Madison River

What a terrific cabin and setting in the Montana mountains close to Yellowstone National Park! Our family enjoyed all the amenities, from comfortable family areas, spacious bedrooms, well-stocked kitchen, direct access to the Madison River for fly fishing, and the wide open Montana skies with long range views. We certainly plan to be back for another wonderful family vacation!

Beautiful home and perfect location to celebrate my parents’ 50th anniversary with large extended family group! The home exceeded our expectations. The downstairs basement area was perfect for the kids to hang out and the trail to the river and outdoor fire pit was enjoyed by all! This home was truly stocked and barely any additional supplies were needed which was perfect!

Perfect off the grid Home

First time using VRBO and I have to say this experience at this house, Lazy K, was amazing. This house is the perfect option when traveling with a big party/family like we did. Great morning and evening views right off the river. If you feel like you have forgotten to bring something, don’t worry because chances are the house may already have it just in case. May your experience be just as great as ours.

Family gathering

The Lazy K fit our family well. Books and puzzles kept us busy when we weren’t in Yellowstone. My son enjoyed fishing on the Madison River. There was plenty of room for out 3 children, their spouses, and our grandchildren. Kitchen was well equipped. Everyone had a great time!

You MUST stay here!

If I could give this property 10 stars - I would! It was a perfect location for our family reunion of 17 people - 9 adults, 8 kids (ages 4 - 17). The house is spacious and plenty of room for everyone to be together or find a quiet place to decompress. For us city-slickers, the fire pit was so much fun - s'mores and stories every night. The kitchen was perfect - completely furnished for a large group - everything from waffles to toasted bagels to quesadillas to steaks on the grill. The location is spectacular. The river is close by and we watched elk on the mountain every morning. The drive to Yellowstone was beautiful and just added to the adventure. There are areas of interest close by. No one wanted to leave!

Great place and great location

We had a delightful stay. Madison river out the backyard - ospreys flying over to hunt the river - one day we saw all three Eagles- Golden, Bald, and Osprey. Easy distance to Yellowstone but great to get away from those crushing crowds. Got to fish as much as I wanted to and caught really nice Rainbows and Browns. My wife pointed out it is the first VBRO we have stayed at in a long time with an adequate supply of left over containers so you really can cook there and not waste stuff. Plenty of utensils - a beautiful electric griddle- a grill that worked and had plenty of propane. Plenty of space for ourselves and adult children. Loved the bird houses with occupants that we could watch come and go. My son said as we were leaving - he really wished we were there two weeks instead of one. Neighbors were slightly closer than expected from the pictures but still plenty of space and this house sits on quite a big lot which is helpfully displayed with a fridge picture - wish my young dog would not have “woofed” at them so much🙄

Family vacation!

The cabin is located next to the Madison River. It is very peaceful! Close to West Yellowstone and Island Park! We walked along the river early in morning and late at night! We did swim in the river! Had to be careful because the strong current can sweep you down stream!

Right off the river with a beautiful 360 degree view, we were a perfect distance from Yellowstone.

We enjoyed a few campfires throughout the week, along with some fishing in the river. We enjoyed the drives through Yellowstone National Park split between 4 days. On our final day we rented ATVs in Idaho Falls and spent our afternoon riding in the mountains and other trails. The house was perfect to fit all 15 of us for family game nights, meals, and sleeping. We also enjoyed having multiple larger rooms for our group to split up and enjoy other activities.

As advertised, plenty of room for 9 adults. Close the Madison with river access. Everything one needs to minimize packing with laundry, full kitchen and grill to pack light and eat in.

Montana vacation

We had a great time in Montana. There was plenty of room for us, our four children, their spouses and our four grandchildren. The grandkids loved walking to the river and playing. It was a good location because we were close to Yellowstone Park, Norris Hot Springs, Virginia City, Quake and Hebgan lakes and Ennis.

Excellent location for fishing

The Lazy K was clean, hosts were very responsive, and it had everything we needed…even extras. We were in great central area to fish the Madison as well as the park.

Great location and a lot of house

We had a party of 6 for a week’s fishing trip. The house was very spacious, we could’ve easily accommodated double our group size. The location is an excellent launching point for a Madison River / Yellowstone fishing trip as it is close to $3 Bridge, Quake and Hebgen Lakes, and not far from the West Yellowstone entrance to the park. House had everything we needed for our stay and being able to fish in the backyard was a bonus.

Fishing on the Madison

We had 12 family members stay at this house and it was wonderful. Plenty of beds, great place to sit around and enjoy the breezes, walk to the river and fish early and late. Close to Wade and Cliff Lakes. We had a great time and I wouldnt hesitate to rent it again next year.

Awesome house for large group

Kathy was super easy to work with, very quick at responding to questions. She sent us information about the area and gave us suggestions for lakes, hikes, and horseback riding tours. The house is large and easily fit our large group (11 people). It is in a "neighborhood" of sorts. There is 15-20 houses sitting along the river, the houses are not super close together. The only reason I didn't give this house a 5 star review is because of the small details...the towels don't match, pots and pans don't match, dead bugs in the light fixtures...small things. We totally enjoyed our stay and I would highly recommend this house.

Home away from home

Beautiful home with plenty of space for a large group to spread out and be comfortable. We stayed for 7 days and thoroughly enjoyed each day. This home Is well stocked with everything you need. Excellent fishing on the Madison. The property Manager, Kathy, was wonderful. Our reservation at Many Glacier Lodge was cancelled and Kathy really helped us by adding a night to our stay at the house.

Excellent place for a family vacation!

We had 13 people and there was more than enough room. Everyone had their own space! Waking up to the river everyday was so pleasant. The place was stocked with all that we needed. The area was gorgeous and we spent some time at Hedgen lake and some time in Yellowstone. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a getaway.

2018 Fishing Trip

There was 12 of us on the trip and the house worked perfectly. The House was well stocked and highly recommend this for a very large group. Beautiful views from all sides and lots of wildlife in the area. Great place.

Nice house with plenty of room for a large group.

Great space for our large group of fisherman. On the Madison River and close to West Yellowstone and the park. Great deck for barbecuing and hanging out with some after fishing cocktails. The Foosball table in the basement provided some great after dark competition.

Our children and grandchildren love coming to Montana and doing Montana things like floating the river, fishing, hiking and conversing around the fire pit after a long day of fun! We love gathering from near and far to spend time together at the home we built with our own hands.

Our home is nice and big with lots of beds. It's located right above the Madison, and in the heart of Big Sky Country! The sunsets, the lightning storms, the antelope in our front yard, the river in our backyard, and nearby lakes, all make our time in Montana special, year after year.
