Great getaway with friends

Our group consisted of 9 Adults from the US (4 couples and 1 single guy) It was a bit congested in the kitchen at times, but with good friends no problem. Everything was there to make a few simple meals. The Owner let us check in early, which was super nice. All in all, great place to use as a base for exploring the region. Cheers!

Memorable vacation!

This was by far one of the best stays we've ever had. I can't say enough. Firstly, the property was beautiful. It had the perfect Bavarian charm with all the modern conveniences. Secondly, the cleanliness of the property was beyond what anyone would expect from a rental. It truly felt like home away from home. My children loved the outdoor visits from the neighbor cat. We all agree that this was our favorite part of our trip. The owner was there to greet us and answer any questions we had. She was very welcoming!

Beautiful

This was an amazing property. We were 6 adults/ 3 couples, plenty of space for everyone. We utilized the kitchen several times to make breakfast and dinner and found the kitchen to be well equipped for our needs. The washer and dryer were also very helpful. The only thing I would recommend would be to bring a fire stick for the tv as there are no apps for Netflix or other streaming services. Overall it was 10/10 and I would recommend this house to anyone and would stay there again

Noisy church bells

This property was very nice, except that it was located right next to a church bell tower which rang very loudly at 8 and 8:30 am EVERY DAY. This noise woke many of the eight of us up almost every day. This problem with its location must be mentioned in the description of the property on VRBO so that people can be informed.

Perfect family home!

6 of us traveled from Texas to visit Garmisch for 6 days and this was the most perfect home for our trip! The 2 rooms (with their own bathrooms!) on the 3rd floor were perfect for the two 12 year olds, the 3 bedrooms on the 2nd floor were very large and comfortable! The bathrooms were all so clean and spacious! Downstairs provided plenty of space to be able to cook meals, enjoy them and relax after long days of sightseeing. The mountain view from the garden was so beautiful! Very convenient to 2 of the main streets in town. Only 15-20 min walk to the train station and one of the grocery stores. We highly recommend Hobi’s bakery every morning for the best pastries and Pub 33 for a nightcap! Thank you so much to the wonderful hosts who made sure we had everything we needed, adjusted the heat for us and made the overall stay one we will all remember for years to come. We can’t wait to return!!

Great chalet and apartment for a Garmisch stay

As we were 6 adults and 4 children, we rented the 2 BR apartment as well as the chalet. The house is wonderful, the kitchen well equipped and the location in Garmisch is ideal, close to the old town, and shops and restaurants. Our first day was complicated by the fact that the WLAN was not working, apparently due to some bad weather in the past. This meant that we could not easily find restaurants and shops, get in touch with our local friends and had to use our US provider to get online ($10/day of use). Our host graciously reimbursed us for this expense upon request. We arrived on a Sunday, 2 of us from Northern Germany after having traveled in Europe for 4 weeks, the rest flew in directly from the US. Contrary to our host's statement, there was no soap in the bathrooms (the main bathroom which my husband and I used had an empty container of liquid soap). The WLAN was back on Monday morning, we were able to find shops and were able to buy soap and some kitchen supplies. The living room of the chalet is fairly small and sparsely furnished, but adequate. I would have appreciated a small table in the bedroom my husband and I used, but we enjoyed the house very much overall. Unfortunately some of our children left a skylight on the top floor open and we were charged for some water damage - so future renters, keep the skylight closed, as it certainly did rain regularly during our stay in July.

Hochzeitsfeier

AnlĂ€sslich einer Hochzeitsfeier sind wir mit der Familie angereist. Das Haus hat uns sehr gut gefallen, und es war fĂŒr uns perfekt ausgestattet. Irritiert hat uns, dass wir fĂŒr einen zusĂ€tzlichen Gast bezahlen mussten, obwohl wir nur mit fĂŒnf Erwachsenen mit einem 10 Monate alten Kleinkind eingebucht waren. Das Haus aber mit 8 Betten ausgerĂŒstet und so auch beworben wurde.

Absolutely lovely!!!

This was a beautiful spacious home with all the needed amenities. The bathrooms were clean with beautiful towels, and the bedrooms were simply perfect. The kitchen had everything needed for cooking and enjoying a beautiful glass of wine. I would definitely love to return to this home. The homeowner, Marietta, was so accommodating, and so quick to respond to my questions. We are so grateful to have stayed in such a lovely home.
