Guests will have private access to their reserved bedroom and bathroom. All guests are also welcome to enjoy the shared spaces throughout the Ironclad Inn, including:

- Stable Block Bourbon Tasting Room (open Wed–Sat, 1:00pm–8:00pm)

- Thomas Knox Dining Room – Daily Southern-style breakfast (8:30am–10:00am)

- Walled Patio Garden – Fountain, outdoor seating, and cigar-friendly area

- Shared sitting rooms with period furniture and reading nooks

- Coffee, tea & iced water station available all day

- Lewis Street side entrance for after-hours access with a personal door code

Please note:

The Ironclad Inn does not have an elevator; all rooms are accessible by stairs only.

Accessible restrooms are located on the main level of the House.

On-street parking is available nearby (Princess Anne & Lewis Streets).

Events at Ironclad Inn
Ironclad Inn occasionally hosts private events such as weddings, bourbon tastings, and social gatherings in our indoor and outdoor spaces.
While we do our best to maintain a peaceful atmosphere, please note that event music or activity may sometimes be audible from certain rooms (mainly near the Thomas Knox Dining Room, Fielding Lewis Ballroom, or Patio Garden).
Event hours typically end by 10:00 PM in accordance with local ordinances.
If you prefer a quieter stay, please let us know prior to booking and we’ll gladly recommend one of our quieter rooms.

Quiet Hours: 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM to ensure a peaceful stay for all guests.

Smoking Policy: Smoking is prohibited throughout the house. Failure to comply will result in a $250 cleaning fee. Designated smoking areas are located on the Front Porch and in the Walled Patio Garden, where ashtrays are available. Cigars are available for purchase in the Stable Block Bourbon Room.

Pets: Only registered service animals are allowed unless the room is pre-approved as dog-friendly (additional fees apply up to $110).

Parking: There is no private parking on-site. Free and metered on-street parking is available on Princess Anne and Lewis Streets. Please follow local parking signs.

Stairs: Most rooms are accessible only by stairs. There is no elevator or ramp on site.

Shared Spaces: Guests may enjoy shared areas including the Stable Block Bourbon Tasting Room, Walled Patio Garden, and common lounges.

Check-Out: Check-out is by 11:00 AM. If you require a later check-out time, please inform us when booking to arrange this. Unarranged late check-outs will incur a 50% charge of the bedroom reservation cost, added to your final bill.

Additional Guests: For any additional in-room guests above double occupancy, a $50 charge per guest will be automatically added to the final bill. This covers breakfast, extra towels and linens, and post-departure housekeeping services.
