We have rented large reunion places before. This one looks better online than it was in person. Functionally everything worked, but the decor and furniture were highly dated, hence four stars instead of five. The cleanliness was OK except in the basement, which was very dusty. We had great conversations with the owner. He was very cooperative and easy to deal with. The one disappointment was the hot tub was not working. The pool however, was terrific.

This was a beautiful home was enjoyed by all. The amenities are great, Walmart is right around the corner, the pool was warm and Ted was very welcoming. We were disappointed to learn that the hot tub had been closed early due to cold weather, but that don’t stop us from having a great time! We would definitely recommend this place to anyone interested in renting their own “hotel” for a family/friend getaway!

We had a wonderful, memorable stay. Communication about expectations for guests was easy. I appreciated the couple hours earlier than normal check in time since our son was arriving from his college about an hour away. There is plenty of space for a big group and despite the colder than average Thanksgiving weather, part of our group was playing Ultimate Frisbee in the back yard and having that open space to play was great. The indoor pool was nice and warm. What a joy for our large family to all be under one roof for Thanksgiving. Thank you, Ted and Debbie.

Host welcomed us and when we had issues, he was very receptive. The kitchen is well stocked and 2 refrigerators are nice. Plenty of sleeping areas and the pool was amazing.

Very nice, large, and clean. Plenty of space for everyone! Only downfall house is very musty especially the basement and chlorine smell from the pool. Cost was a bit high for 10 adults and 2 children for 2 nights was almost 5000 but in then end it was worth it. Hosts are very lovely and great communication. They where on sight in there RV. However after check in someone had come into the house when we had left for dinner and opened windows and left a back door open. The was slightly uncomfortable.

House and backyard is huge! We absolutely enjoyed being outdoors with the kids, the indoor pool came in clutch while the weather was in the cooler side during our stay. Ted was readily available and provided clear communication.

Our ladies retreat enjoyed our time at the home. The pool was very clean. However the hot tub smelled strongly of chlorine and was a bit of a concern for us. This home is perfect for a large group but the location itself was not as ideal. There is not a lot of options for things to do in the area. Overall we would rate the home at a 4.5 but the location at a 2.0.

Very roomy and family friendly home

Our immediate family of 12 adults and 9 kids stayed at this home. It had enough bedrooms and bathrooms to make our experience very relaxing. The pool was a big hit for everyone. It rained at times but having the pool inside didn’t hinder our fun. Lots of outside space for baseball and kickball and volleyball nets. It was a wonderful experience. Would definitely recommend this place.

This was our 2nd Extended Family Weekend at the Winchester Property. Plenty of activities for everyone plus some positive property improvements. Would stay again and recommend. Host is very responsive and communicates well.

50th Anniversary Gathering

We wanted a location to gather our whole family of 40 to celebrate our 50th anniversary and this fit the bill exactly. Far enough away from home to feel removed but close enough for reasonable travel. The owner was VERY responsive to an issue that popped up and took care of it immediately.

Great property, beautiful yard & setting, lots of space to spread out

Lots of rooms & area to spread out (there were 22 of us!). Giant dining table for family meals and games. Beautiful large backyard with a fire pit. And an indoor pool. All which made for a great family reunion week.

This is the perfect spot for a family reunion. The hosts are amazing, great communication and if we had any questions or issues they answered immediately. The house is huge, with plenty of room for everyone, we loved the pool and hot tub. Also able to use the volleyball courts and fire pit. Plenty of outdoor comfortable sitting areas. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a place.

Perfect spot for us!

Great place for a big get together

Indoor Pool was a big hit. Although, non-swimmers did not like the fact that the pool surface suddenly went down but the swimmers loved it Big Dining table was also a major hit. Wish it was a little warmer so that we could have enjoyed outsoors too.

Family Reuinion/90th Birthday Party Weekend

I can start by saying, “IT WAS AMAZING!” The property owner, Ted, provided excellent communication, accommodated all of our wishes and requests, and was extremely attentive to our needs. His property, which is absolutely beautiful, is exactly as advertised. Our family of six siblings held our mother’s 90th birthday party at this location over a weekend and it was perfect for our group of 24, including 19 adults and 5 children. Thank you so much Ted!

Ted is a graduate of Ball State University with a B.S. is Telecommunications and a Business Administration Minor. In addition to directing activities at the Inn, Ted and daughter Kiera - an Indiana University graduate founded Uncharted Pixels LLC - a web services, branding, and video production services company.. Ted is also a private pilot.

Debbie manages the housekeeping functions making sure the cleaning team work is done properly amd the home is up to her exacting standards of cleanliness and comfort. She was awarded the Hoosier Hospitality award by Indiana's Lieutenant Governor!

Debbie attended Indiana University East in Richmond and has worked in the healthcare, childcare, and social services fields during her career.

After living near Chicago, St. Louis, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Cincinnati, We purchased this property to get back to our Hoosier roots near the Whitewater River valley. Both Ted and Debbie were born in Richmond just 25 minutes south of the property. Winchester is a great little town brimming with family values, lots of churches, nearby shopping, and close to our family.

With six park-like acres, 3 fireplaces, and an indoor pool and outdoor hot tub, a conference room that seats 20, separate formal dining room that seats 6-8, a nice patio with seating for large groups, outdoor fire pit, and nearly 6 park-like acres, this property has everything you are looking for in a family reunion or retreat destination!. This home has something for everyone!. The older folks can sit by the living room fire or on the patio and have great conversation while the kids enjoy the pool or the theater/game room. The teenagers can play volleyball and badminton on the east lawn while the guys head over to the award winning 27 hole golf course and the ladies go antique shopping. We have a game closet filled with board games and playing cards. Free WIFI is available throughout the property and most rooms have 4K TVs with HDMI connections. The winery tours are a great option with live entertainment on some summer evenings. Fishing is available in the nearby towns of Farmland, Richmond, and Muncie. The historic Winchester Speedway "the worlds fastest half mile" is 10 minutes away offering pulse pounding high banked auto racing and Eldora Speedway (about 45 minutes) offers awesome dirt track racing in the summer. Take a day and enjoy the Antique Alley trails for great shopping and don't forget to stop by Silvertowne for a unique gift shopping experience in Winchester. But you may never want to leave the property. This is truly a great family home with all we have to offer on the premises! Perfect for reunions and large family gatherings.
