It is so easy to find excellent things to say about both the house and the host. Communication from the beginning was excellent, rapid, and clear. Instructions were simple and the asks of me were minimal. The pictures don’t really do adequate justice to how nicely appointed the house really is. It has been completely modernized inside with new appliances, awesome floors and carpets, and clean comfortable furnishings. The A/C was amazing and had no issues cooling the house completely during the 98 degree days. While some may be intimidated or a little hesitant to stay because the house is located on a slope and down a narrow road (like many of the houses in Pittsburgh!) after the first or second time driving in you soon feel like it is any other road and you become a Yinzer (Pittsburgh native). The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. It is like a little oasis in the city, and the view out the living room window of the city is quite stunning. While not really walkable (this selection was intentional on my part as I wanted a place to relax and rest), a very short drive is all that is needed. Costco is 12 minutes away. Giant Eagle (grocery) is 8. Downtown Pittsburgh is maybe 12 also. Super! The provided washer and dryer were super helpful dealing with the heat wave and allowed me to pack lighter. The host John was simply a treasure. Overall, I have stayed in well over 100 short term rentals, and this is in the top 5, if not the top overall. I will be back.
