Places to visit within easy reach of Trieste are: Venice (1h30min), Ljubljana (1h), the Friuli wine region (40min), the Slovenian coastal towns of Piran and Portorose (40min) and the Croatian penisula of Istria (1h).

Other things to note
Due to new legislation by the town of Trieste I am obliged to register all adults staying at the property within 24 hours of their arrival and to take in the Tourist Tax on behalf of the authorities. Please make sure to send me copies of your identity document via email prior to arrival and please be so kind to leave the tourist tax in cash in the apartment before you leave. Tourist tax is €2 per adult per night, for the first 5 nights of your stay. Thank you!
