This was a beautiful place in the woods close to Camden and the state park. Unfortunately we didn't stay long enough. Would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

We loved our two night stay at this cottage. Kate was helpful along our stay. The cottage is thoughtfully outfitted with everything we needed, everything was clean and comfortable. We were sad to leave and envious this private yet proximate to everything property isn't our own!

Extremely clean and well equipped cottage. The bathroom lay out is not ideal, but we were aware of the lay out before we booked and it was fine for two couples. We would stay here again.

This place was an absolutely wonderful and incredible place to stay!! It was a perfect cozy cabin in the forest, but close to Camden!!! We loved everything about it!!! It was super clean, decorated beautifully, extremely comfortable and very peaceful and quiet!!!! We truly wished that we could have stayed longer!!! The kitchen had all of the necessary things you needed for making your meals. The beautiful cabin and the peaceful solitude were awesome and amazing!!! It's definitely a fantastic place to stay!!

We were PLEASANTLY surprised at how spacious and wonderful this cabin was. THe reason i gave 4 stars about the listing was because it was BETTER than the pictures show. It worked great for our family of 6. Lots of room to sleep but cozy enough that we didn't feel like everyone was separated. Close enough to towns with plenty to see and eat.

The cottage is well appointed; great if you use the kitchen, and ample supplies in the bathroom. The wifi is great and loved having a smart tv.Kate was super responsive, gave perfect directions and information. A couple of things that were questionable:There was a foul smell in the bathroom, like a sewer odor, and, although there were 2 bedrooms, the bathroom was en suite to one, so if you used the smaller bedroom (which has the larger bed) you have to walk through the other bedroom to get to the bathroom. The place is kind of dark as it is surrounded by woods and lighting is not bright. Very close to lots of sites, easy to get into Camden, Belfast, city and hiking.

Thank you for your thoughtful review! I’m glad you enjoyed the cottage, kitchen, amenities, Wi-Fi, Smart TV, and convenient location. The bathroom layout is explained in the listing under “Room and bed details,” including that the bathroom is en suite to one of the bedrooms. Unfortunately, this is part of the cottage’s existing layout and isn’t something we’re able to change. The occasional bathroom odor is very rare and can happen with our well water system, which is common in Maine. We use filters, and I’ll make sure to change it again. The cottage faces north and is surrounded by woods, which keeps it naturally cool and cozy on hot days. There are multiple lamps in each room, including reading lights, so guests can adjust the lighting while keeping the cozy ambiance. Thank you again for your feedback and for staying with us!

This cabin had everything we needed for a one-night pit stop up to Bar Harbor. We especially liked the rural location, the tea kettle, and stove for heat. We were able to sign into our Netflix and watch a thriller on a dark, rainy night, gathered in the living room area. We did not like that there were several large flies inside of the cabin. We killed a few that were bothering us, but even after that my nephew made a cup of tea at night and one of the flies flew into his tea cup!

Perfect country get away. The cottage was just the peaceful retreat I needed. Swimming in the pond and resting at home, listening to the wind rustle through the trees. Hosts were so responsive and helpful!

This lovely little cabin in the woods exceeded our expectations. It was very comfortable, cozy, and well equipped for our needs. The host contacted us to check in and make sure that we had everything we needed and was very responsive to our requests. We hope to return to this beautifully crafted place again someday.
