The Space:

A gorgeous stretch of sand, the historic neighborhood of Nye Beach, and bustling downtown Newport are all at your fingertips when you escape to this four-bedroom cottage, a wonderful place to experience the beauties of the Central Oregon Coast. This home is simple, sunny, and comfortable, with an access point to the ocean beach just over a block west. Enjoy a fully appointed, light-filled kitchen upstairs, where you can flip pancakes each morning before heading out for the day, as well as a kitchenette downstairs in the game room, offering a mini-fridge to chill your favorite drinks as you play foosball in the evenings. Walk home from a day spent boogie boarding, beachcoming, or browsing the local shops and galleries to toss your swimsuits in the washer/dryer, unwind in the warmth of the gas fireplace, and watch TV on the plush sofas. At night, you'll have your choice of three queen bedrooms (two upstairs and one downstairs) and a fourth bedroom downstairs with a pair of twin beds.



What's nearby:

This home is ideally located just over a block east of a beach access point, so you'll be able to easily stroll to the sand at any time of day. You'll be the same distance from Historic Nye Beach, a legendary district of Newport that's home to more than 40 businesses, including wonderful restaurants, art galleries, and home decor boutiques. The Newport Historic Bayfront on the shores of Yaquina Bay is less than a mile south, the Oregon Coast Aquarium is one mile beyond, and two famous local lighthouses - the Yaquina Head Lighthouse (four miles north) and the Yaquina Bay Lighthouse (one mile south) - are within a short drive.

The property was perfectly located. It was fun with the foosball, games/puzzles, and all. The only complaints were about the bed and linens being uncomfortable in the main bedroom and the kitchen. The nonstick pans were a bit beat up but what made it difficult to cook was there was no cooking oil. Overall, we really liked the property, though, and have a favorable and positive view towards our stay.

Proximity to the ocean, shops, and the absence of noise and traffic on this treet. It was great to enjoy a morning coffee with the sound of the waves and the two neighborhood cats that checked in with us every morning. Having an Irish Pub a half a block away was great also. Our kids enjoyed the foosball and there was ample space for everyone.

Home away from home

We love this home and location. We will be back next year. It is just blocks away from the beach. However, we were a little disappointed in the cleanliness. Did not seem like there was much care this year in the cleaning.

Only a couple blocks from Nye Beach shops and beach walks. The grocery store is also just a short walk away. We had plenty of space for our relaxing girls trip. We are hoping they invest in some new living room furniture and a couple mall appliances that need some love.

Felt like home away from home

As soon as we walked in the house it felt like home. Had everything we needed and things we did not know we needed. The lay out of the home was perfect and will be perfect when we come back with a few more family members. The location is perfect walking distance from the ocean, restaurants and shops. Can’t wait to come back next year.
