Your suite, "The Accord", is a striking and sophisticated 4 bedroom (6 beds), 4 full bathroom single-level residence, offering a rare sense of privacy paired with grand scale. The central hub of the suite is the open-concept layout, which creates a seamless flow and blends high ceilings, large windows, and inviting gathering areas to create an atmosphere that feels intimate and elegant. Organic materials, handcrafted details, and custom-designed accents add warmth while honoring the building’s historic charm and character. The spacious bedrooms are purposefully appointed, each featuring its own ensuite bathroom to provide privacy and convenience for every guest.

LAYOUT: The Accord Suite comprises the entire 2nd floor of our 4-story boutique building and features direct elevator access into the suite as means of private entrance. The layout is ideal as the living, kitchen, and dining rooms are centrally located with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on each side of the building, to provide peace and privacy when needed. ADDITIONAL BACKGROUND:
Why "The Diplomat"? The name draws its inspiration from one of Philadelphia’s most iconic figures, Benjamin Franklin, whose final resting place at Christ Church Burial Ground is just a short walk from the property. Franklin was a diplomat, inventor, and avid chess enthusiast whose legacy is deeply woven into the fabric of Old City, providing The Diplomat in a rich sense of place and history.

Throughout the building, subtle nods to Franklin’s life and intellect are thoughtfully incorporated. Busts of his likeness rest on curated shelving, while historic Philadelphia maps from his era serve as layered wall décor. Design elements inspired by the strategy and symbolism of chess—an homage to Franklin’s 18th-century essay The Morals of Chess—appear throughout the suites, from checkered rugs to in-room chess boards and sculptural details reminiscent of classic pieces.

These historical references are reimagined through a modern lens, with jewel-toned palettes, textured wallpapers, and richly layered furnishings that create a space both elevated and immersive. The result is a property that embodies intellect, strategy, and timeless design—true to the spirit of The Diplomat.

Note: 1) Non-registered guests are prohibited at the property, without our prior consent and approval; All approved guests must vacate the property by 9pm.

2) Excessive noise is prohibited and violators are subject to fines and penalties. If excessive noise results in disturbances to other tenants, we reserve the right to evict you and your group without refund.

3) Pets: Dogs are the only type of pet permitted. Size and type of dog must be approved in advance. We reserve the right at our sole discretion to approve or deny any and all pets. Approved pets result in a $95.00 charge before Airbnb's taxes and fees.

4) Cleaning During Your Stay: Cleaning during your stay must be requested at least 48 hours in advance, and the cleaning may occur between 9am - 1pm at our cleaner's discretion. Cleaning cost will be billed in advance and at the cleaning fee rate.

If you, your group, or your reservation details are comprised of one or more of the following, we kindly ask that you send a property inquiry PRIOR TO BOOKING to avoid cancelation. You can do so by clicking ‘contact host’ under the listing property description and should include more about yourself and your group, age range of the group, and the total number of guests which will be at the property (whether spending the night or not):

*Local guests to the area or suburbs (within 45-minute drive) of the rental property
*University or High School students
*Reservation check-in falling within 10 days of booking

If you do not send us an inquiry prior to booking as described above, we have the right to request cancellation due to us being uncomfortable with the reservation under Airbnb’s Instant Book Policy
