I have lived most of my life in this area of Shropshire working on the family farm, contracting, then building. I converted the barns and built Stocks Lane and Fields House with my son, Jonathan, amongst many other properties in the area including Percy Throwerâs house in Shrewsbury!
I enjoy hosting because I get to meet some wonderful people from all over the country and abroad. In my free time I enjoy clay shooting, traveling and eating out!

Voici pourquoi lâhĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement
My family all live in this area. Shropshire is a beautiful county with rolling hills and lush farmland. We are close to places of historical interest like Chester and Shrewsbury, and a short drive to Snowdonia National Park and wonderful National Trust properties like Chirk Castle, Erdigg Hall, Attingham Park, for example. Other spectacular sites include Ironbridge and the Pontcysyllte Aquaduct.
Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique
The Old Milking Parlour is as the name describes. Once this building housed a milking parlour for the Friesian herd of the Boughey family who farmed here for 50 years. We stripped it down and it is now the kitchen, and the old corn store was in the master bedroom above!
The property offers a large kitchen diner with casual (sofa and armchair) seating as well as dining table to seat 9 (5 chairs plus bench); central hall with WC and small, single bedroom leading to the large TV lounge which opens out to the patio and large garden, perfect for the kids and big enough for a kick around or game of frisbee.
There are 4 king bedrooms (two en-suite with walk in shower and two that share the central bathroom with large bath and walk in shower) and one small, single room.
Outside is a fenced in large, private garden with patio area and dining seating for all to enjoy. A six-seater hot tub and BBQ add to the fun!
A short 2 minute walk away is our local pub which serves great food.
