This place is a slice of paradise. Looking forward to going back. The scenery, all the animals, and the friendly hospitality made this an exceptional stay. Wish it could have been a longer trip. Next time!

Book the stay! It was beautiful. We were in the area for a family reunion. If we hadn’t of been, we wouldn’t have left the property. Clean, comfortable, gorgeous views, peaceful and the donkeys are an amazing bonus! Highly recommend!

Loved staying here! Cozy and roomy accommodations & gorgeous views! My son loved the animals. CJ was great at answering questions right away. We enjoyed some ATV trails about 40 minutes away. Sunday we took a short walk down to Dismal Falls about 20 minutes away.

This place was absolutely breathtaking. We watched the sun set in all its glory. We didn’t get to stay as long as we wanted to. We plan on going back and taking our grandchildren. CJ was amazing in showing us around and helping us feel welcome.

We went to South Carolina for vacation from Michigan and spent the night on the way, and back from there at the halfway point.It's so nice, secluded, and quiet.The atmosphere just really calms and energizes the soul at the same time.We thought it'd be better than staying at a hotel but quickly realized that it's a place we'd love to spend more than a night at. We've already decided that next year one of our vacations will be here.The owners are what I call, true salt of the earth people as well.

I cannot say enough about this place! The communication, being met by 2 donkeys and a horse just started the experience. The views from the place is absolutely incredible! Owners are top notch & greeted us like we were family!The house is beautiful and so very clean, Probably one of the best places I have ever stayed at!Sitting on the deck the 4 dogs came and loved on us & we’re so well behaved! Then leaving we saw the goats, pigs lamas. Perfect for our departure.If you like nature this is the place for you. I will be back!

Beautiful mountain retreat, secluded, peaceful, and nothing but gorgeous scenery. Waking up to the sound of donkeys, cows, and horses is better than traffic and school buses any day. No need to leave property unless you want to venture out exploring VA or WV. Grocery pickup beforehand and prepare meals outdoors or in large kitchen. Lots of seating outdoors, grill , and fire pit. Kali met us on arrival with the horse and Donkey Donk and Archer nearby. Seen cows, goats, pigs, alpacha, and horse. Bring carrots for donkeys and marshmallows for roasting.

Can't say enough great things....Communication great.Location great.Check in directions great.Rental great. We were met at the gate by donkey donk...lolAt the house we were met by CJ who went through the house with us explaining everything and showing us around.The two donkeys (donkey donk and archer) along with the horse (moses) all greeted us after we parked. Super views all around the place.Sunrise ? Look one way.Sunset ? Look the other way. Had everything anyone would need. We even bought some locally grown and made 3 berry jam and 2 bookmarks (1 of each donkey !)

Where to begin CJ and Mitch are some of the nicest and best hosts ever. WE HAD THE BEST TIME WE EVER HAD ON VACATION.Relaxing panoramic 360 views on the top of the mountain.The gift shop inside the room has quality souvenirs you will want to remember this one for a life time.Customer service was excellent you really feel like family when you leave.Pet real farm animals upclose and personal.The dogs are so precious and loving.As for things to do if you travel a little 30 to an hour into west virgina you will find a great little place to eat in Princeton WV called teriyaki madness the food is amazing.Head further in and you will find pipestem state park with a beautiful tram line cutting through the mountainside Ziplines as well head 30 minutes further to sandstone falls where you can see breath taking waterfalls and a beautiful view looking up at a mountain from a river bed.If Your Looking for adventure solitude and friends this place is for you.Mitch has a bond fire out front most nights go outside get warm by the fire with some good conversation or lay in the hottub staring directly into a beautiful starry sky. 100% best vacation ever i would definitely recommend and will be back

Our trip was wonderful, but staying at CJ and Mitch’s beautiful property made it truly unforgettable. The cabin is absolutely gorgeous, and the mountain views from the back porch are breathtaking. My dad especially loved spending time with their sweet dogs and donkeys—it became one of the highlights of our trip. We spent so much time relaxing on the porch, soaking in the peaceful scenery, and it honestly couldn’t have been any better.My dad has Alzheimer’s, and seeing him smile, laugh, and enjoy interacting with the animals was something I’ll always treasure. The peaceful setting gave us the opportunity to slow down, make memories together, and simply enjoy each moment. That is a gift I can never thank you enough for.CJ has truly thought of everything. Every comfort you could possibly need is provided, and the cabin is exceptionally clean, welcoming, and well-equipped. You can tell they genuinely care about making their guests feel at home.If you’re looking for a peaceful mountain getaway with incredible hosts, beautiful views, and thoughtful touches throughout, this is the perfect place. We left with wonderful memories that we’ll cherish forever, and we would absolutely love to return. Thank you, CJ and Mitch, for making our trip so incredibly special!

Words cannot describe our experience and stay at Pride’s Mountain! The property is stunningly beautiful. CJ and Mitch were the best host and accommodated us beyond my expectations. The guest house is private, clean, and the craftsmanship of the home was admired. The furnishing was cozy and perfect! The whole vibe was amazing. We even got to experience petting the donkeys, playing with the dogs, and feeding the farm animals! CJ and Mitch welcomed us like we were a part of their family! We also got to spend time with one of their friends who added to the fun of our stay! We will definitely be returning! Thanks, CJ and Mitch for a great time :)
