Only 4 Miles from I77 this cozy home rests on 1 acre of land. This property is only a few miles from the Appalachian Trail and National Forrest. A beautiful getaway in the mountains with beautiful views. Newly renovated and remodeled in 2024. We'll be available to answer any questions while you stay at our cozy home away from home.

Quick response time from the owner and good communication regarding check-in and check-out details on short notice. We only stayed the night but appreciated the views and seeing a Paw Paw tree in the yard.

We stayed on our way back from NC to IND. Comfortable furniture. The only thing was its not easily accessible for anyone with walkers or wheelchairs.The steps into the house are small and no sidewalk so our feet got soaked in the pouring down rain. Lol Ages from 52 to 84 stayed. The steps were hard for the 84yr old who's had a stroke. But, we loved the comfort of the home. The location was so fun. Property is beautiful hillside with cows. Thank you for the nice stay.

My husband, parents, our 2 pups and I, all stayed in this comfortably quaint home just for one night. We were on our way back to Ohio from Oak Island, NC, and it was a lovely middle point to rest for the night. Laura was very accommodating to allow us to bring our 2 pups who travel with us everywhere. She was also kind to let us check-in a little early as we made good time. The home is set in a gorgeous setting on a private road a few miles from 77. We went to Wytheville, about 20 minutes away, to grab a meal. There was a Circle K right down the street from the home to be able to grab snacks and drinks. We also enjoyed the adorable cows next to the property. Our pups loved their walks on and around the property. The home was very clean, the furniture was very comfortable, and everyone slept great on the beds. We felt very safe and Laura reaponded quickly to all of my questions. We would all recommend this lovely home to anyone passing through the area, or even longer stays to get away from it all. Thank you, Laura for your kindness and hospitality!

Just what we needed

After a very long trip, this house was a perfect spot to recharge our batteries. Everything we needed in peaceful farm country. And a short drive to charming Main Street in Wytheville.

A gem!

Our family stayed here overnight and enjoyed every aspect of this home! The kitchen is well equipped and everything easy to find and organized. The beds are comfy. Everything is well maintained. It’s a very short drive off the interstate with rolling pastures adjacent to the property. We’d love to come back and explore this part of Virginia! Thank you!

Pit stop to North Carolina

This place is a charming older farm house that has been remodeled. You have the uneven floors - but nice new flooring. A Step down, then a step up into the lovely bathroom. Beds were decent, newer appliances (no dishwasher), decent furnishings- all we needed for a comfortable overnight, and it was very clean. Out a bit from the interstate, but worth it. We found the trailhead for Appalachian Trail just two miles up the road. Got a short, but sweet hike in before hitting the road again the next morning. The water and trail were Beautiful!A couple suggestions for improvement:1. Set some stepping stones from the driveway to the entrance to decrease the yard mess from coming in the house. 2. Make the drive more obvious- at night it’s hard to tell the difference from the yard.

Cozy comfortable house in the country. Comfortable while you’re traveling. Noticed mice had been in the kitchen while we were sleeping, and got into our food. Droppings were in the area but never seen them with my own eyes. I would stay again. Awesome pricing. Overall a 7.5

AT Section Hike

House was comfortable, clean and well stocked. We were hiking a section of the AT and it was very convenient to several trailheads and a store in Bland. We enjoyed relaxing on the front porch after our hikes amongst the peaceful countryside and friendly grazing cows! Awesome sunsets as a bonus.
