The Space:

Perched on a gorgeous five-acre lot on the bank of the Betsie River, this unbelievable getaway is the perfect place to escape it all and breathe in fresh air. With plenty of room for the entire family, you will have no trouble spreading out and feeling at home in no time. Mingle with loved ones by the warmth of the wood-burning fireplace, a favorite drink in hand, as the chef of the group whips up something tasty in the full kitchen. On warm summer nights, there's no better way to end the day than with a cookout on the back deck as the sun dips below the treetops. Plus, the fire pit is the perfect place to listen to the water rush by and reminisce about the fun that was had that day with the whole gang. What's nearby: No matter the season, this special retreat is the place for every type of guest to enjoy. When fresh snow blankets the area, skiers in the group will be glad to know Crystal Mountain is just over a mile west, offering a variety of runs for all experience levels. While in the area, everyone will love walking through the exhibits at Michigan Legacy Art Park and soaking up the colors of Fall foliage. A bite to eat and local grocery stores are a mile away in Thompsonville proper, and a day trip to Lake Michigan is just 18 miles from your front door! Our family of 6 enjoyed this house and property on our first trip to Michigan. Everything was as expected or better. Plenty of extra bedding, pots and pans, and coffee makers, and outdoor space for the kids to run around. We enjoyed the sectional couch-everyone had a seat-for our movie nights. There were a lot of bugs so take your bug spray. Our group traveled up to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Traverse City, and even up to Mackinack Island. The Frosty Treat isn't too far away-a cute ice cream/mini golf combo. We didn't try the golf but the ice cream was wonderful. We had a fantastic stay and would go back.

Great Getaway

This was a great getaway with friends. It was quiet and just what we were looking for but still close to some of the tourist attractions as well. I will definitely recommend this home to others.

Perfect getaway

The house was so comfortable and cozy. We loved the while property and the river was so peaceful. The location was great and an easy drive to TC and many beaches. I would love to stay here again and highly recommend!
