The Space:

Perched on a gorgeous five-acre lot on the bank of the Betsie River, this unbelievable getaway will be just the place to get away from it all and breathe in some fresh air. With plenty of room for the entire family, you will have no trouble spreading out and feeling at home in no time. Mingle with loved ones by the warmth of the wood-burning fireplace with a favorite drink in hand as the chef of the group whips up something tasty in the full kitchen. On warm summer nights, there will be no better way to end each day than a cookout on the back deck as the sun dips below the treetops. Plus, the firepit is the perfect place to listen to the water rush by and reminisce about the fun that was had that day with the whole gang. What's nearby: Regardless of the season, this special retreat will be just the place for every type of guest to enjoy. When fresh snow blankets the area, the skiers of the group will be glad to know that Crystal Mountain is just over a mile west offering a variety of runs for all experience levels to enjoy. While in the area, everyone will love walking through the exhibits at Michigan Legacy Art Park and soaking up the colors of Fall foliage. A bite to eat and local grocery stores can be found in Thompsonville proper a mile away and a day trip to Lake Michigan is just 18 miles from your front door! Our family of 6 enjoyed this house and property on our first trip to Michigan. Everything was as expected or better. Plenty of extra bedding, pots and pans, and coffee makers, and outdoor space for the kids to run around. We enjoyed the sectional couch-everyone had a seat-for our movie nights. There were a lot of bugs so take your bug spray. Our group traveled up to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Traverse City, and even up to Mackinack Island. The Frosty Treat isn't too far away-a cute ice cream/mini golf combo. We didn't try the golf but the ice cream was wonderful. We had a fantastic stay and would go back.

Perfect for two families with little kids

We loved staying here for a week with our young kids. A room for them to share with toys, a kitchen table as well as a large dining room table was wonderful for our board game loving group. A wonderful find! It was in close proximity to great local restaurants like “Rosie’s” which we frequented. We loved that there was laundry on the first floor and Adirondack chairs overlooking the river to enjoy our afternoons and morning coffee. An overall fantastic stay.

Great Getaway

This was a great getaway with friends. It was quiet and just what we were looking for but still close to some of the tourist attractions as well. I will definitely recommend this home to others.
