No animals - no children (what an awful way to open this - but please read on for a further explanation)

Escape to the enchanting embrace of our charming cottage, nestled in the tamaracks and set along the banks of the Betsie River. Walk the 14-acre estate grounds full of Northern Michigan natural beauty. This quiet escape features wildlife sightings, a covered front porch, riverfront access - all a close drive to beaches, and charming towns.
Ideal as an intimate escape for two; offering a peaceful ambiance. Located just a mile from the golf course, dining, spa, and art park of Crystal Mountain, it provides the ideal blend of adventure and relaxation. Whether you choose to explore the nearby beaches, wineries, or immerse yourself in the local charming beach communities our cottage serves as the perfect home base.

Kindly Note: Due to the unique nature of the property and home, we’re unable to accommodate children or animals. This rental is located on our private residence where we raise and care for breeding Corgis. Due to the risk of communicable diseases such as Brucellosis, no animals of any kind can be permitted on the property under any circumstance. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause - and please know this is not a decision we take lightly.

This cottage is located next to our home and includes a 5 corgi greeting committee. While they do not have access to the cottage - they do have access to the yard. This is also why kindly ask for no pets.

Oh, we loved this so much! Perfect accommodations for us. The location was near the venues we were visiting for a wedding. We lived that it was nestled in an area away from the road. We loved the tranquil views from front porch and being greeted by the corgis.

Great Location!

We loved staying at this property! It only took 4 minutes to get to Crystal Mountain and we loved the convenience. The property is very well maintained and we will definitely stay here again. Be aware that the master bed is comfortable but quite soft. We loved meeting the Corgis and they loved meeting us! Thank you so much for having us!

Beautiful property.

We took part in our annual event at Crystal Mountain and this location was perfect. One minute down the road from Crystal's entrance. The owners were extremely friendly and communicative, the property was beautiful, very quiet and the corgi welcoming committee was greatly appreciated.

Perfect Little Cottage

My husband and I had the most amazing stay at the cottage! Ellen, Drew and the sweet corgis gave us the best welcome, and they made us feel right at home! Even with a few mechanical-maintenance issues (that were completely out of their control), I must say they never once stopped trying to fix the problem and they went above and beyond to make it right by us. Our comfort and satisfaction were Ellen’s top priority! The serene and peaceful setting, paired with the adorable corgis and Ellen’s great company made it a wonderful getaway for us. Thank you, Ellen- your kindness and your hospitality were so appreciated and we can’t wait to return!

Crystal Mountain getaway

The cottage was in a perfect location to get to Crystal Mountain. The cottage was just as advertised. Very clean and we got morning greetings from the corgis on the property who would come say hi at our door. Ellen was very responsive and gladly brought over some cooking supplies so we could make food in the cottage. We’ll definitely be looking for the cottage next time we come to town!

Cute cottage

This cottage, adjacent to a family home, was perfect for our weekend away. Owners were on top of everything and added homey touches like fresh flowers. Only drawback is that both bedroom doors are glass-fronted, which is not great for light or privacy. That's my only complaint, and that's very small, but might be a dealbreaker for some.

Beautiful place, Ellen was helpful and gracious. The Corgis were an added bonus; however, the home is listed as riverside an it is not. The home is situated near the river but it's a few minute walk to get to it. It can't be seen from the house. Other than that, it's a really nice place.
