Tucked away in a private setting and surrounded by two acres of Maine forest, this charming, two-story vacation rental is the perfect home-away-from-home for your next getaway to Southport Island. Bright, pristine, and newly-built, this four-bedroom home features vaulted ceilings, comfortable furnishings, and more than a few nods to the great state of Maine with its decor and artwork. The open floor plan includes a well-equipped, island kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a large dining table with seating for eight, and a cozy living area with a Netflix-ready flatscreen TV. Outside, enjoy the sights and sounds of the woods from the furnished deck where you can socialize or fire up the grill and dine in the open air. And when it's time to call it a night, you'll find four comfortable bedrooms here including one king suite, two rooms with queen-size beds, and a kids' room with two twin bunks.

What's nearby:
This home is within walking distance of Cozy Harbor and only a mile from Hendricks Head Lighthouse and the adjacent beach area offering terrific views and opportunities to swim in the cool waters and catch tiny crabs in the seaweed. Just a few miles northeast, check out bustling Boothbay Harbor with its many attractions and water activities. Grab a bite to eat from Robinson's Wharf offering terrific seafood, an oyster bar, and wonderful views of the cove. And if you need to stock up on essentials during your stay, the eclectic Southport General Store is less than a half-mile north of this home.

Weekend in Maine

We rented this home for a Maine weekend family getaway. We had 6 adults and a baby. The house was beautiful. We all had enough space. We cooked dinner one night and the stove was great. It is on a secluded road, the kids up the street rode their go cart and minibike up and down the street which was okay. Walking down the street was pretty. The porch in back was beautiful. The spruce forest was so peaceful. The beach on the island was close and nice. No issues parking there. Close to Boothbay Harbor. We went to the Botanical Gardens - wonderful!

Fantastic property for a family stay

This property was wonderful! Great location for exploring Southport Island and nearby Boothbay Harbor. Well appointed, comfortable, felt immediately at home. The kids loved the bunk room and the ping-pong table in the basement. Comfy beds and really nice laundry machines. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful home!

We really enjoyed our time at the house and Southport. Walk to “Maine” version of a beach, and very close to the towns shopping/food/activities at the harbor.

Our family enjoyed the view at this rental in Southport. The king bed was very comfortable! We had everything we needed at this home, including extras we hadn’t thought about. We were close enough to town when we wanted to explore. We would absolutely stay again!

We and our friends had a fabulous time during our stay here! Such a lovely, clean, quiet, spacious yet cozy space to land each evening after adventures in and around Boothbay Harbor. We cooked each night in the kitchen and on the grill. Played games at the large dinner table. And visited, laughed, and relaxed on the comfy sofas and chairs. Perfect long weekend away.

Great place

Great place. One of the better houses I've stayed in, clean, well maintained, spacious, with a kitchen equipped with everything and more. The house itself is isolated in the heart of a grove but close to everything you want to do in the area. I would love to come back.

Great get-away home for a family with friends

The home layout was great, kids had enough room to be in different places and not on top of each other. The property was good for the boys to go exploring/ fishing and being just a short drive from Boothbay the location was perfect. While in the area we also visited Damariscotta and New Harbor and they never disappoint.

Near Family at the Winter Holidays

This lovely house allowed us to stay near family during the Winter Holidays. And gave us a beautiful secluded space to relax, refresh and enjoy. It was spacious, welcoming and in excellent condition. The grounds are beautiful and the area is easy to walk and the nearby shore is beautiful.

The property was amazing. The house was big & open. Plenty of space for us. The beds were very comfortable. The house was clean, and our only suggestion would be to make sure the vent in the 1/2 bath is cleaned, and the base boards in the full baths be replaced. They’re very rusty. Other than that it was prestine. It was perfectly located for our trip! Thank you!

Great house, peaceful setting

The house was perfect and had everything we needed, including a lobster pot. The first floor master bedroom is very spacious and the other 3 bedrooms were more than enough to accommodate everyone in our group. The back deck was perfect to sit outside and talk and enjoy the silence. Would definitely rent this house again!

Very clean, well furnished and right between Newagen and the country store. About 3 miles feom boothbay. Private. The only suggestion I have is to post the wifi acces information somewhere in the home. We had a great stay.
