Spend a peaceful time at this architect designed 3 BR, 2.5 bath modern home with separate studio building 1.5 miles to the Omega Institute and 7 miles from Rhinebeck Village w/the best of everything. Open floor plan, mini-split AC, walls of glass, vaulted ceilings, maple floors.
The space
Situated on a 16-acre parcel in the forests of upstate New York, this home was designed to be a year-round family retreat. The land is densely wooded, The main house faces south, and is built into the hillside to maintain a low profile in the landscape. All the sleeping rooms face east to great the morning sun. A private studio with sauna to the west defines a private south-facing grassy courtyard between the buildings. The buildings were built with mostly local materials, natural finishes and sustainable strategies for heating and ventilation. Fully equipped modern kitchen with premium appliances, office with monitor, broadband wifi internet, stereo and printer.
