Set at about 2,000 feet on 5 peaceful acres in Inwood Valley, a quiet part of Shingletown, the property rests along Sheridan Creek with a wide lawn, spacious deck, western rustic-chic interiors, and a gazebo tucked right at the creek’s edge. Dogs and horses are welcomed without added pet fees or pet deposits, and our no-chore checkout lets your final morning stay as peaceful as your first.

This is a place for slow mornings, creekside coffee, family dinners on the deck, quiet celebrations on the lawn, romantic evenings by the fire, and meaningful time with the people — and animals — you love.

Inside, the cabin blends warm wood tones, cozy textures, western character, and boutique-inspired details. Outside, Sheridan Creek, the lawn, the deck, and the creek’s-edge gazebo create a peaceful setting for gathering, relaxing, and simply being away.

Thoughtfully Included

At Creekside Retreat, we believe the most memorable stays feel effortless.

Dogs and horses are welcome with no added pet fees and no pet deposits. We also offer our signature no-chore checkout, so your final morning does not have to feel rushed or weighed down by a long departure list.

The Property & Setting

The property features:

A wide lawn for relaxing, gathering, and enjoying the creekside setting
A spacious main deck for outdoor dining and slow mornings
A gazebo tucked right at the edge of Sheridan Creek
Peaceful trees, fresh foothill air, and a country-cabin atmosphere
A fenced yard area around the cabin for dogs
Horse-friendly amenities for guests traveling with horses

The creek’s-edge gazebo is one of the most special parts of the property — a beautiful place for morning coffee, quiet conversation, reading, photos, a romantic moment, or simply listening to the water.

Sleeping Spaces

The cabin offers two private bedrooms plus a semi-private upstairs sleeping loft.

The Buffalo Room
A cozy downstairs queen bedroom with western-inspired details and convenient access to the main full bathroom across the hall.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

Creekside Retreat’s story began long before it became a vacation stay. The cabin has been part of this peaceful Inwood Valley/Shingletown setting for more than 50 years, and its interior still carries the warmth of handcrafted character. Knotty wood walls, an open loft, carved details on the staircase and beams, Southwestern accents, and cozy gathering spaces give the cabin a rustic charm guests can feel the moment they step inside.

Over time, it became clear that this special place was meant to be shared. The peaceful land, the creek side setting, the handcrafted details, and the quiet country surroundings all come together to create a retreat that feels personal, rooted, and full of character.

Even the 2-mile drive in on Inwood Road feels like part of the experience — a beautiful country drive that slowly brings guests into a more relaxed state of mind. Along the way, guests pass through a scenic stretch of countryside with local history, including land once connected to Anselmo’s Vineyard and a weathered old chapel that adds a touch of abandoned, storybook charm to the drive.

By the time guests arrive at Creekside Retreat, the pace has already begun to slow. The trees, Sheridan Creek, open space, Flicker’s Meadow, country air, and quiet surroundings create the feeling of stepping into a private, peaceful place made for rest, re-connection, and something more meaningful than an ordinary stay.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Creekside Retreat is more than a vacation rental — it’s an experience with its own kind of rustic magic. Set on 5 private acres, the cabin offers peaceful outdoor spaces, a charming gazebo along Sheridan Creek, a large open lawn for gathering, playing, and relaxing, Flicker’s Meadow for guest horses and quiet walks, and room to wander, relax, and reconnect with the people you love.
Guests enjoy the retreat property to themselves, with the privacy and freedom to settle in and make it their own. Owner Barb lives on the adjacent property and is there to warmly greet guests, help them get settled, and explain the layout, horse-friendly areas, and amenities. When available, Barb may also offer a short 15-minute meet-and-greet with her horses.
Pets and horses stay at no charge, with no pet deposits, because we believe your four-legged companions are part of the getaway too. Dogs can splash in Sheridan Creek when conditions allow, and we provide a dog washing area with towels for drying off before heading back inside.
Horse-friendly amenities make traveling easier, too. Guests will find easy turnaround parking for horse trailers, a rustic-style stable with 2 covered horse stalls, a pipe-fenced corral, and water troughs. Horses can stretch their legs in Flicker’s Meadow, and guests may enjoy our small private horse obstacle area.

Guests can enjoy cornhole, peaceful walks through Flicker’s Meadow, coffee by the creek, cozy cabin evenings, and plenty of space to unwind under the trees.

We also offer our signature no-chore checkout, so your last morning can be spent enjoying the property’s peacefulness — not being saddled with a long checkout list.

Creekside Retreat was created for guests who want to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy meaningful time together. It is especially suited for romantic getaways, intimate gatherings, quiet celebrations, elopements, family getaways, creative retreats, small group escapes, and stays that feel personal, peaceful, private, and memorable.
