As you turn onto Thatcher Mill you'll feel the comfort of this mountain retreat. The tranquil drive on a well paved road ends at 9447 Thatcher Mill Road . This 12 year well built home sits back off the road and invites you to relax and enjoy what the Lake McCumber / Mt Lassen area has to offer. The sounds of silence radiate through the trees and gives you the sense of calm. Once inside you'll find a remodeled home with amenities to make your stay as enjoyable as you can make it. A large kitchen with counter seating and a breakfast nook for gathering. A comfortable leather sofa for relaxing in the family room with vaulted ceiling. A master bedroom and master bathroom with an over sized tub for soaking after a day exploring the surrounding hiking trails. And the second bedroom has a queen bed. A separate full hallway bathroom too. The backyard is private and quiet as can be. Listen to the squirrels chasing each other or the occasional distant bark of a neighbors dog. It's my happy place for you to call home while you stay and enjoy. By the way, it's a paved road all the way to the driveway, so don't be afraid to bring the Mercedes or even your sports car. Lots to do without having an off road vehicle

One of the best cabins I’ve been to

We loved our time at the cabin. The backyard is serene, the cabin is stocked with anything you could ask for, and the hosts are incredibly responsive. Highly recommend staying here.

Quiet place in the woods located ten minutes from the north entrance of Lassen Volcanic National Park. Really nice house with lots of amenities. Highly recommend staying here.

This house is cozy and comfortable. It is very well stocked and has everything you could need for your stay. It's in a great location to visit Lassen Volcanic. The owners communicated frequently and effectively. My family enjoyed their time here.

Fabulous place, as advertised, highly recommend. We travel extensively, one of the if not the nicest place we have stayed. One note, as older adults we are not technically savvy, hence if you want to watch live television, I.e sports, it can be a challenge.

We stayed here for a couple of nights to explore Lassen and the surrounding area. The place was lovely: charming, clean, and had everything we needed. The host was very communicative and responsive. An additional perk was that we got to see a deer and her fawns close up on the property a couple of times. Would definitely recommend!

The House was awesome- quiet neighborhood in the woods huge pine trees in the yard. It was clean and comfortable- our favorite place on this trip. Also, very close to Lassen Park. We couldn't have been happier.

We’ll be staying here again!

This is an amazing property and home! We loved how kid friendly it is and even though we didn’t bring our dogs they had so many extras for fur babies as well. Home owner was very nice and accommodating. We can’t wait to go back!

Great Lodgings near Lassen NP

Wonderful place to relax after hiking around Lassen Volcanic National Park. All necessities provided and then some. All in all a very comfortable place in a quiet location. I recommend!

Timothy contacted us a while back and booked once he knew that Lassen National park was just 15 miles from the cabin. We are happy that he checked this park off his list of visiting all the USA National parks. Fantastic Lassen National Park cabin

One of the most thoughtfully supplied rentals we've ever stayed in, close to the park, on a quiet street set back from the highway. Todd is very responsive and provides very helpful information. Would definitely recommend and would stay again!
