Hiwassee River House: Lake Access!

Enjoy and relax to the peace of the Hiwassee River. The other side of the river is owned by the University of TN Tree farm. Property is a duplex with adjoining door between kitchens, rent the full property or 1 unit under a separate listing. There are 2 dining rooms, 2 living rooms. Beautiful view of river and mountains. Excellent fishing (dock), kayaking, tubing, hiking, rock climbing nearby. huge back porch overlooking two decks and fishing dock. Sleeps max 10. All bedrooms are upstairs, three have queen size beds, one has a bunk with a full size mattress on bottom and a twin on top. One side has a leather sofa bed with a full size mattress.
Enjoying many fun activities like whitewater rafting or schedule a ride at the local glider port.
Steelwheels restaurants is almost within walking distance. Restaurants are located locally and the property is about 25 minutes from Cleveland, TN for more options.

Extremely pleasant

It is well equipped and furnished with a peaceful and scenic setting. While you feel it's away from it all, you aren't that far from shopping, restaurants and the best attractions in the area.

So clean! Felt at home immediately.Loved the layout. We could eat on one side of the house and play games on the other side.Temperatures have been high, but we felt great in the screen-in porch. I hope this house is always available when we go whitewater rafting on the Ocoee.

Great Place to Vacation

The duplex was wonderful for our family vacation! We came from three states, and enjoyed the river, the large porch for gatherings, the beauty of the area, and the duplex had all the amenities of home. The owner was very helpful and their family has a winery nearby that we were able to visit and purchase some great wine. This is definitely a place to take family and friends. Our family would like to come back and spend another great long weekend.

Great spot & great view!

We were up for our annual friends Ocoee rafting trip! The house was perfect, we rented both sides and had plenty of space. We loved hanging out back on the screened porch with a view of the river!

Excellent Retreat!!!

We had 6 adults and 6 kids and the property and setup was perfect - families could all be together or enjoy alone time. Our house was also close to White Water Rafting - which was an awesome experience! Tim (owner) was very easy to work with and very responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

Fishing Trip

A group of friends met here to have a weekend of wade fishing in the upper Hiwassee and by boat in the lower. The house is very nice and perfectly situated. Great communication and facilities.

Small family gathering

The 4 bedrooms and 2 kitchens was great as we had a small gathering of about 6 people and we prepared on one side and ate on the other. The covered porch was fantastic. It rained, and rained and rained, but it was still beautiful. Would stay again! The steps to the river are many, and steep, but beautiful.

Wonderful accommodation for nearby wedding location

We rented both units for family members who were attending a nearby wedding. Both units were large, spacious and very comfortable. The outside deck is lovely for a morning cup of coffee. The units were clean with everything we needed. Tim was very responsive and we enjoyed our stay there.

Beautiful spot for family weekend

This house was perfect for our family weekend. We loved spending hours on the screened-in back porch overlooking the river. The kids enjoyed some of the games and puzzles that were available, and we were able to prepare meals easily in the kitchen. It was nice to have two separate living spaces so we could do different things. The house was clean and had ample parking.
