Water's Edge on Island Lake, Heirloom Vacations

Water's Edge is an adorable 1,100-square-foot cabin that's simple and tasteful, where the best room in the house is the lakefront backyard. This place is about two things: escaping to the lake, and spending time outside with those you love.

The Location The cabin is right off the blacktop and close to town, so it's easy to get to, but it still feels like a true country escape. We have a large yard that the local wildlife seems to love as much as we do—it's very common to see deer and plenty of birds wandering through throughout the day.

Outdoors & Recreation
On the Water: Island Lake is a great recreational lake. You can fish right off the dock or use the boat launch just down the road. There is a small canoe and paddle boat available for guests.
The Views: We get beautiful sunsets here. We recently added a new walkway and patio with a new grill, which is the perfect spot to end the day.
Nearby Fun: There's a baseball field right on the roadside of the property for a quick game. The Boulder Lake Recreational Area is nearby and offers some of the best cross-country skiing around, along with plenty to offer in the other three seasons.
Food: There is a popular bar restaurant called Island Lake Inn a mile down the road, as well as a convenience store gas station 1.5 miles away with a restaurant next to it that you can snowmobile up to in the winter.

The Cabin Inside, the space is clean, cozy, and updated. It's a comfortable, low-maintenance home base that stays focused on the view. Whether you're here for the fishing or just to watch the water from the patio, it's a peaceful spot to recharge. If you want to stay for a while, there is a washer and dryer to keep up with laundry. For sleeping, there are 2 bedrooms. One has a King Bed, and the other has a Queen bed, a twin bed, and a pullout sofa.
