Great stay. AnnaMarie was really sweet and made check in / out very easy. Apartment is quite spacious and well appointed. Good location in Partenkirchen.

Incredible location, sweet hosts

We absolutely loved our stay here. It is the perfect location, the sweetest goat, and had everything we needed to explore Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Our host went out of our way to help us multiple times and was so kind to our small children staying with us. We certainly hope to be back again!

Host was very gracious and welcoming. We ended up in just a 1 room apt with a murphy bed and bathroom and small kitchenette. a small table and 2 chairs. not everything you see in the description of this appartment for $53.00 Recommend verifying before booking. It is in a good location and very clean.

Möchte Ihnen aber mitteilen , daß Sie bei FeWo nicht die Ferienwohnung Wank gebucht haben , daher auch die 2 Sterne nur .(Sondern das 1-Zimmer Appartement /DU/WC,Balkon. Ich als Vermieter habe auch nicht den Übernachtungspreis der Ferienwohn . erhalten 50.- € sondern nur 35.- € für 2 Personen . Ich hoffe , Sie haben Verständnis , daß ich diese Bewertung verbessere , für die Gäste , die nach Ihnen buchen möchten. Freundliche Grüße Annemarie Sch.

Perfect Location in Garmisch

I had a very pleasurable stay with the Schnitzers. The apartment is as advertised. A comfortable apartment room for a great price. It had everything I needed for my stay in Garmisch. Double bed, dinette, kitchenette, TV, radio, bath with shower and a nice sized balcony. Upon check in you will receive a Garmisch Culture Card that allows you free bus travel and other discounts. This apartment is 5 to 10 minutes walking distance from everything Garmisch has to offer. 10 minutes to the Hauptbahnhof, 12 minutes to the Zugspitze Bahnhof, 15 minutes to the Olympic Ice Stadium... Garmisch is a treasure and I would stay with the Schnitzers the next time I visit Garmisch.

Noisy!

Contrary to the VRBO listing, the host does not speak English. She uses a translation app to communicate. At first, I assumed there was a glitch in the VRBO app that made the messages come through in German but she admitted upon arrival that she did not speak English. The VRBO app does not have a translation feature so you have to copy and paste into Google Translate. The apartment is very noisy. There is a major road behind it so there is road noise well into the night and early in the morning. One neighbor has a loud motorcycle and another has a dog that barks nonstop. Worst of all there is a family with small children in the apartment above so you will be treated to a couple of hours of stomping every evening and morning. If you want peace and quiet during your stay, this is not the place.The shower is tiny and has a precarious shower curtain rod so you have to be very careful when taking a shower. Also, there is a blunt transition from each room into the hallway so be prepared to stub your toe if you walk around barefoot.The apartment is convenient to everything in GP. The pedestrian sections of both towns are about a 15 minute walk as is the train station. The Zugspitze train is about five minutes beyond the main train station.The host seems very nice despite the communication challenges and I hate leaving my first negative review in years of VRBO stays but I could not recommend this apartment to anyone who wants a relaxing vacation experience.

Wir wurden sehr herzlich willkommen geheißen. Es stand sogar ein Sekt im Kühlschrank.Die Wohnung ist urig eingerichtet aber in gutem Zustand und gepflegt.Zu Weihnachten haben wir sogar ein kleines Geschenk bekommen.Am Abreisetag durften wir unsere Sachen unterstellen, damit wir sie nicht bis zur Zufahrt herumschleppen müssen.Es ist auf jeden Fall ein Ort zum Wiederkommen.

Schöne Ferienwohnung mit allem was man braucht. Genug Platz für eine vierköpfige Familie. Frau Schnitzer war sehr hilfsbereit, erklärte uns, wo sich alles befand, gab uns einen Platz, um unser Gepäck am letzten Tag zu lagern, als wir abreisen mussten, aber vor dem Zug noch in den Bergen wandern wollten. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Ich kann diese Ferienwohnung sehr empfehlen.

Absolut empfehlenswert!

Wir haben ein wunderschönes Wochenende mit Freunden in der Ferienwohnung verbracht und hätten uns keinen besseren Aufenthalt wünschen können. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber, gemütlich eingerichtet und bestens ausgestattet – es hat wirklich an nichts gefehlt. Besonders toll fanden wir den Balkon mit herrlichem Blick – bei dem traumhaften Wetter konnten wir dort morgens frühstücken und abends gemütlich zusammensitzen.Die Lage ist super: ruhig, aber dennoch zentral, sodass man schnell zu Fuß im Ort oder bei vielen Ausflugsmöglichkeiten ist. Ob Wandern, Spazierengehen oder einfach nur die Natur genießen – Garmisch-Partenkirchen hat unglaublich viel zu bieten.Der Kontakt mit den Gastgebern war ebenfalls sehr herzlich und unkompliziert. Man merkt sofort, dass ihnen das Wohl der Gäste am Herzen liegt.Wir kommen auf jeden Fall gerne wieder und können diese Unterkunft absolut weiterempfehlen!
