Royal Kahana resort is on the west side of Maui, nestled between Ka'anapali and Kapalua. It is a premier oceanfront resort right on Kahana Bay. The location is perfect with close proximity to restaurants and shops, only a 10-minute drive to the famous Napili Bay and Kapalua Bay golf course. It is just a short ten-minute drive to the historic whaling town of Lahaina, the many shops and restaurants at Whalers Village Shopping Center in Kaanapali Beach.

The place was exactly as mentioned. Views were amazing and the place was very nice and tidy. I would 100% recommend. Host was very is to speak to and responded very quickly. I would stay again

Very clean and spacious. It was actually an end unit (quieter). It was very helpful that the contents of each kitchen cabinet were labeled to easily find the correct items. The front door and lock were a bit finicky (you have to align it just right for the bolt to engage properly), but we eventually got used to it. We noticed and reported an issue upon checkin, and within a few minutes, we actually got a visit from their on-site manager to collect more details! The A/C was highly efficient and was able to cool the unit quickly. There was a bin with beach gear & supplies too. Although the unit was recently remodeled, the complex overall is a bit dated, so you can definitely hear water running through the pipes from neighboring units. BTW the complex doesn't have a separate hot tub, but they set the temperature of the pool pretty high.

Aloha! This is your sign to book this condo and look no further! Everything was exactly as pictured, and the condo was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The host truly thought of everything, making it feel like a home away from home in Maui. The location was excellent, with easy access to beautiful beaches, restaurants, shopping, and excursions and activities, making it the perfect home base to explore the island. Check-in was seamless, and every part of our stay exceeded our expectations.Mahalo for your wonderful hospitality and for creating such an amazing place to stay. We made incredible memories here and wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Until next time, Maui!

The Royal Kahana resort offers a beautiful oceanfront experience, but because Maui's coastline experiences natural seasonal shifts and tidal changes, the sandy beach directly in front of the property can temporarily disappear during high tide or heavy surf.

When the high tide rolls in right up to the resort's seawall, you don't have to miss out on the sand. Just a few steps away—typically less than a two-minute walk down the shoreline to the left (south)—the coast opens up into a much wider, reliable stretch of sandy beach (often referred to as Kahana Beach) that remains accessible even when the water rises.
