À propos de cet hébergement
Fall by Whitefish Bay | Sauna, Arcade, Sleeps 10
Summary:
An indoor wood-fired sauna, a game room with arcade classics and a bar, an upstairs movie room with karaoke, and a sandy Lake Superior beach a seven-minute walk away. Fall on Whitefish Bay means color through the Scenic Byway, freighters crossing to the Soo Locks, and Tahquamenon Falls under an hour out. Themed rooms throughout, three acres, a firepit, and a soaker tub under the dormer. 3 bedrooms, sleeps 10. Gear room with boot dryers.
The Space:
An indoor wood-fired sauna, a game room loaded with arcade classics, an upstairs movie room with karaoke, and a sandy Lake Superior beach three minutes from the door. 3 bedrooms, sleeps 10, on three acres of Northern woods outside Brimley.
Fall is when the sauna stops being a novelty and starts being the reason you booked. Come in off a cold Whitefish Bay beach, fire it up, then take the freestanding soaker tub under the dormer — probably the best bathtub in the Eastern UP. Color along the Whitefish Bay Scenic Byway peaks around October 5 through 20, and Point Iroquois Lighthouse a few minutes down the shore puts you 72 steps above all of it.
Tahquamenon Falls is under an hour. Sault Ste. Marie and the Soo Locks are 20 minutes, and watching a thousand-foot freighter lock through in October is a genuinely good afternoon. Back at the cabin, every room tells its own story: a nautical room stacked with ship's wheels and lighthouse lore, a vintage fish-camp room lined with trout prints and creel baskets. The game room has Pac-Man, pop-a-shot, ping pong, air hockey, foosball, and a bar for the adults.
Grab the UV flashlights we keep charged in the kitchen and hunt Yooperlites on the beach after dinner — dark comes at 6:45 in October, so you're back at the firepit early. 3 bedrooms, sleeps 10. Built for families and groups who want the full UP experience in every season.
WHY GUESTS LOVE IT — FALL
🧖 Indoor wood-fired sauna — the real thing, and there is no better season for it than after a cold day on Whitefish Bay
🍁 Color along the Whitefish Bay Scenic Byway peaks roughly October 5 to 20 — Point Iroquois Lighthouse is minutes down the shore, 72 steps up for the view
🚢 Sault Ste. Marie and the Soo Locks, 20 minutes out — thousand-foot freighters locking through, and you can watch them cross the bay from the beach
💧 Tahquamenon Falls under an hour away — amber water through gold hardwoods, the UP's signature fall shot
🔦 Yooperlite hunting after dinner — UV flashlights charged and waiting in the kitchen, and dark comes at 6:45 instead of 9:30
🎮 Game room, movie room with karaoke, and a soaker tub under the dormer — the rainy-October-afternoon problem is fully solved here
LOOKING AHEAD — WINTER
Gear room with boot and glove dryers, built for ski and snowmobile season
Michigan state snowmobile trails open December 1, and Brimley sits between the Soo and the Whitefish Bay trail systems
U-shaped driveway with parking for 8+ vehicles and room for sled trailers, plus a wood-fired sauna to end every day in
UPScale Tales is new for 2026 — the calendar won't stay open long. Early guests get first pick of prime dates.
