The quiet settlement of Maasholm-Bad is located on the Oehe peninsula at the mouth of the Schlei between the Baltic Sea and the Schlei, approx. 2 km from the idyllic fishing village of Maasholm.
On foot to the water: 15 minutes walk to the Baltic Sea beach and 5 minutes to the Schlei.
Also ideal with a bike, we have a large bike garage, which is in the basement of the community center via an outside staircase.
The day of vacation begins with fresh food - we say little ones - from the bakery truck at the end of the street. There is also a football field with basketball hoops, a playground with a table tennis table and a circular path around a small pond - everything is small and tranquil, far away from the hustle and bustle of tourism.
Along the Noor or cross-country through forests and meadows you go to the idyllic fishing village of Maasholm.
A fish sandwich or ice cream on your hand, a meal in one of the restaurants or at the harbor snack bar in Maasholm, then a walk along "the Maas round".
Or take the Schlei paddle steamer to the Pilot Island. There is a lot of beautiful things to experience.
Restaurants, snack bars, bakery, ice cream parlor, fish shop, a merchant for everyday needs, smaller shops and a surfing and sailing school. Maasholm has everything you need.
Stroll through the beautiful town center of Kappeln, 7 km away, stroll along the harbor and enjoy the diverse gastronomy. Visit the fish market at the harbor on the last Sunday of every month from March to October.
Walks or sunbathing on the Baltic Sea beach in Hasselberg, Kronsgaard, at the Falshöft lighthouse or a bike ride through forests and meadows or along the Schlei. Observe all kinds of birds and other animals, the nature reserve is on the doorstep. Pure nature and peace.
Explore the 42km long Schlei via Germany's smallest town Arnis to Schleswig. Discover the 773 hectare Geltinger Birk nature reserve with its wild horses "Koniks", Flensburg with its merchants' farms, the castle in Glücksburg or the Baltic Sea resort of Eckernförde.
Get to know the Schlei from the water on the excursion steamers or cross over to Denmark from Langballigau and much more...
