Come visit this contemporary, one-level home with lake rights on the eastern shore of Friends Lake. It's perfect for a small group, offering Adirondack style and easy walking distance to the lake. The open living area provides ample space for a game night. Sink into the plush seating and enjoy a movie on the flatscreen TV. Offering stainless steel appliances and ample meal prep space, the open layout kitchen is the perfect spot for conversation and great cooking.



The Space:

Custom blinds and wood beam ceilings give you a sense of coziness throughout the home. As the day winds down, enjoy your private firepit for evening campfires right outside your back door. Let the kids play catch in the large backyard, or take a walk to the beach and watch the loons. Walk down to the shared sandy beach with a swim raft and amazing sunset views.



Things to Know

This is a quiet lake. Neighbors are particularly sensitive to loud noises. Many will immediately call the state police if guests are loud or intrusive. Please respect these neighbors.

Please note that there is no public boat launch on Friend's Lake and no boat launch at this location. You are not allowed to bring your own boats to this lake. This includes kayaks, canoes, and other small personal watercraft.

Trash service is not available at this property. This property is located in an area administered by the Adirondack Park Commission. As with many remote homes in the Adirondack Park, this is a carry-in, carry-out location. Please take trash to the Chestertown Landfill/Transfer Station . We recommend calling early in your stay to find out fees and open days.

Nice comfy warm house. Bedroom had great comfortable beds. Bathrooms clean and had soaps and shampoo. Kitchen is big with plenty of seating for meals.

Great stay

Enjoyed the stay. Close to chestertown and the amenities. The only downside to the property was the mattresses. Overall a great place to go.

Summer Vacation

Had a great time on our family vacation. The house makes it very easy to have a relaxing vacation with the beach and the lake located just a short distance away. Washer/Dryer make it very easy to pack knowing it is easy to do laundry on the trip and the spacious home is great and definitely comes in handy on rainy days so no one feels cramped. Would definitely come back again

Friends Lake house

This house was so perfect for my family, the lake just a few houses away, the great backyard and firepit, the open airy floor plan with kitchen and living room, close proximity to Lake George, white water rafting on the hudson, restaurants, just perfect. We would stay here again for sure!

The house was immaculate. Everything we needed was there - you don’t have to lug sheets towels or toiletries with u. They think of everything and seconds from a private lake made it so amazing. A must stay

We really like our vacation

Very nice and calm place with a wonderfull lake. However, all bedrooms as well as living room are on carpets (a thick and comfortable one) Also, there is no air conditionning.

Weekend away

Quick weekend with my son and some friends. Great location. Enough room for all. Had trouble with the Tv and was fix within 24 hrs. Great communication with property management. Great place. Would stay again.

Spacious Retreat

House was a lot bigger than expected and the front living room being connected to the dining room/kitchen made the house relaxing and comfortable. Washer and Dryer was a big plus and helped to not have to over pack. Lake is only a short walk down the hill.

Lake George VRBO

Overall a very good time. Fun house for friends to hang out and relax. I'd consider installing A/C. Very hot in there and the humidity is destryoing all the nice woodwork. No real complaints though.

Lakeside house Chestertown NY

House was perfect size for 10 people, very roomy, clean. Lake was beautiful. Negatives... hot water runs out after 3 showers, neighbors dogs bark all hours of night, not all lights had bulbs that worked. No cable to TV.

The lights have since been repaired, and we haven't had any previous complaints regarding the dogs, so they were likely due to another renter. Our local manager has confirmed the hot water heater is operating properly. We look forward to hosting you again!
