La cabane du ruisseau est sur son emplacement d'origine juste sur le ruisseau construit par les membres de notre famille dans les années 1800. Il a 2 lits queen de qualité, 1 salle de bain - TrÚs agréable, confortable et confortable.

Plan d'étage ouvert d'origine avec cuisine, salle à manger et salon. Grande terrasse extérieure à deux niveaux juste au-dessus du ruisseau.
Grand rĂ©frigĂ©rateur, cuisiniĂšre Ă©lectrique, Ă©vier en granit, comptoir en L, Ă©tagĂšres, table et chaises, canapĂ©, banc, lits, lampes, tables d'appoint. Tous les plats et draps de qualitĂ© fournis. Grandes fenĂȘtres pour de grandes vues sur les montagnes et les animaux sur 3 cĂŽtĂ©s. Le cĂŽtĂ© arriĂšre a 2 vieux bĂątiments de homesteader restant en place pour lui donner l'intimitĂ© de la cabine Schoolhouse. La cabane du ruisseau peut Ă©galement ĂȘtre utilisĂ©e pour les familles ayant besoin de plus d'hĂ©bergement en plus des autres logements privĂ©s du ranch.

Les grandes fenĂȘtres permettent de superbes vues sur la montagne, ainsi que les sons du ruisseau si proches.

Nous avons des animaux de ranch sympathiques: chevaux, vaches, chiens - tout ce qui aime les visiteurs et les friandises spéciales. D'autres animaux sauvages errent toute l'année.

Situé dans les montagnes à cÎté du parc de Yellowstone. Notre route se connecte au sentier Old Yellowstone à Yellowstone River. Cela prend 20-30 minutes pour atteindre Gardiner et garer la cabane payante via l'autoroute 89 ou Old Yellowstone Trail, (14 miles au total de Gardiner). 6 miles de chemin de terre et 8 miles de l'autoroute.

Notre famille est restée chez elle, a racheté les autres propriétaires. Ils coupaient à la main du bois, nettoyaient les prairies de montagne, élevaient du foin, du bétail, avaient des orignaux de compagnie qui étaient nombreux sur notre ruisseau. Notre beau bassin privé est composé de 3 ranchs, aucun accÚs public à travers notre région. Nous avons eu la chance de le garder privé tout ce temps à cÎté de Yellowstone.

The cutest cabin in a beautiful valley. Great deck to sit on and watch nature. The cabin is back a 6 mile winding gravel road. North entrance to Yellowstone is about 20 minutes away.

Beautiful little cabin!

We had such an amazing stay at this peaceful little cabin! The cabin itself was clean and had everything we could possibly need for our stay, including a full kitchen with all of the essentials and a gas grill outside. The setting is incredible - far enough away to feel secluded, but close to town and entrance to Yellowstone. It was the perfect place to relax after a long day in the park. We also LOVED greeting our horse friends every morning! One warning - the cabin is accessed by a very long, narrow, winding, gravel road. This didn't bother us at all (in fact, we loved our little "adventure" to and from the cabin each day!), but may not br suitable for those who arent fond of "country" driving. We would definitely stay here again and have already shared tgis cabin with our friends!

This was an amazing choice for us. Clean, had everything we needed, and I could have lost hours of my life on that porch. The dirt road to get there is a bit of a hike but wouldn’t have had it any other way
 we would definitely pick this place again. Also, we explored A LOT of Yellowstone and I find Gardiner entrance the best. Less traffic and a bit slower pace!! Thanks for sharing your special ranch with us. My son visited the horses each day :)

A piece of paradise

Our family truly enjoyed our stay in this little piece of paradise. The location was beautiful with a nice creek in front that our kids enjoyed messing around in. We also loved petting the horses and roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. It was nice a close to the Yellowstone park and Yellowstone hot springs where we could relax after a long day before heading back to our cabin. The cabin was a little rustic with no AC, so it got a bit hot, I would recommend the owners get screens for the windows so they could be opened for fresh air, but the fan provided helped. We spent more time outside than in, so not a deal breaker for us. The kitchen had everything we needed as well as a nice bathroom for showers, so it has all the amenities needed. I highly recommend this beautiful cabin.

We had a great stay...

We had a great stay at the creek cabin. The cabin was cozy and stayed warm even with a night that got into the 30s. We made meals and the house had everything we needed including spices. The property is beautiful with the mountains all around, creek out the door and kids loved the horses! Thank you for sharing your property with our family on our trip to Yellowstone!

The cabin was clean and comfortable and looked just as it was listed in the VRBO app. The only thing i didn't realize was how long the unpaved road was to the cabin. It was beautiful and very serene out there on the ranch. I also loved the sound of the creek by the cabin. It made for a quick trip to Gardiner and the north entrance to Yellowstone Park.

Perfect get away

This is the perfect place to just get away from everything. The views are beyond amazing. The fresh air and secluded location are perfect. We had snow, wind, rain and sunshine while we were there. Waking up to the deer and elk on the property was an added bonus. It was very hard to leave.

Creek Cabin

Perfect opportunity to get away from the crowd. Nice, quiet setting if you like privacy. Very scenic, very simple, stress free. Nice kitchen if you want to cook something simple, barbeque grill on the deck if you want a little more. About 20 minutes to Gardiner and Yellowstone. Plenty of dining opportunities. Can't wait for the opportunity to go back with our family.

McDonald family homesteaded this basin in the 1800's on their way to visit Yellowstone Park. They bought the other homesteaders out, living in seclusion working hard, cutting lumber from the forests, clearing fields for hay, working cattle, filling their bellies with local elk, deer, moose, wild strawberries, and even kept ice in a little mini log ice house on the side of the mountain. They had a keen eye to keep safe from the numerous grizzly bears and many a story to tell of that. Great Grandma McDonald still holds the record for harvest of Montana's largest grizzly when this griz decided to see what was in the storeroom while Great Grpa was in town getting supplies. Our kid's grpa, Jack McDonald worked for the Yellowstone Park for 43 years, the longest working park employee while enjoying raising his family on the ranch. Riding horses hunting indian arrowheads and special rocks was a favorite hobby of the family. We are now the 5th generation McDonald family preserving the original homestead cabins, sharing the beauty. We spend the summers competing in rodeos with our 3 kids all over Montana and checking in on our guests and ranch animals. Winters are spent sledding, snowmobiling, skiing, roping inside the indoor arena, basketball, football parties & keeping warm by the fireplace.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

Grew up in a multi generational family of the area. After traveling and working in other areas of the world for many years, we were content settling on the family ranch raising kids, cows, horses, logging, fencing. We then just recently built the lodge with massive logs and over 72 windows to help accommodate multi-family gatherings. We enjoy sharing the beauty with others and our animals sure love the extra attention. Depending on season, the wildlife of mountain sheep, mountain goats, antelope, elk, deer, bear, buffalo/bison, coyote, fox, wolves, badgers, gophers, eagles, hawks, other birds are the most prevalent animals seen on the ranch and driving to/from.

Getting away from it all, yet still close enough to all the activities. Animals all about in a private, quiet and very beautiful setting while enjoying the comfortable log lodgings.
