Discover our charming holiday paradise on the farm in Braunwald, an idyllic retreat that promises pure peace and nature. Our cosy holiday flat, situated outside the village in a quiet location, offers you an unforgettable view of the impressive mountain world. From here you can set off directly on various hiking adventures around Braunwald and experience the unique charm of the car-free village, where your car can be conveniently parked in Linthal.
The interior of our holiday flat invites you to relax and feel at home. After an active day in the great outdoors, the warm and inviting atmosphere of the flat provides the perfect setting for cosy evenings. Take advantage of the proximity to the Braunwald sports lifts, which are just 400 metres away on foot, and enjoy the special experience of skiing right up to the front door in winter. For your convenience, skis and sledges can be hired directly in Braunwald.
The farm itself offers an authentic experience of country life with around 20 dairy cows and young stock, 6 goats, a dog and 2 cats. In summer, the cows graze on our alp in Braunwald, where we produce fine alp cheese and other local products that you can buy directly from us. A hike to our alp is also easily doable for families, and we look forward to showing you how to milk the cows and giving you interesting insights into mountain farming.
The surroundings of Braunwald offer a variety of activities for sports enthusiasts and nature lovers. From mountaineering, climbing and paragliding to alpine skiing and cross-country skiing - everyone will find their own personal adventure here. In addition, the visitor's tax including free use of public transport in the canton of Glarus, which also includes the Braunwald railway, is a special bonus for our guests.
