The charming penthouse Adula is located on the top floor of CĂ Nizza, an old Ticino house that was skilfully restored in 2022 in the village of Marolta, a hamlet of the municipality of Acquarossa in the Blenio Valley. It enjoys a splendid view of the surrounding peaks and in particular of Adula (3402 m a.s.l.), the highest mountain in Ticino, from which it takes its name.
The place offers the possibility of a relaxing and regenerating stay in a true place of energy in contact with nature and the traditions of one of the most fascinating valleys of the Southern Alps. The building, built from the end of the 18th century onwards, retains the typical features of the time: gneiss beola roof, mighty stone walls, centuries-old larch beams, typical terraces with balconies and large stone vaulted cellars.
The attic welcomes its guests in spacious, light-filled rooms and is characterised by the skilful integration of ancient elements (massive stone walls, exposed beams, restored doors and details) with modern comforts (open kitchen, fireplace stove, bathtub with hydromassage and experience shower). Even the furnishings are a blend of the traditional and the contemporary: refined and functional at the same time to allow guests to fully enjoy the special energy that the house releases.
The layout is structured on two levels with an important open loft in the centre connected by an antique granite staircase. The first level houses the solid wood kitchen, the spacious living room, the master bedroom and the bathroom with a separate additional WC. The second level houses a large loft used as a reading room and a special attic room with a round bed, a third extra bed and a view of the starry sky thanks to two special ceiling windows. The flat also has an external balcony (typical period terrace) for exclusive use with a magnificent view of the panorama and the surrounding mountains. The building's ancient vaulted cellars are also accessible and offer the possibility of serving some local delicacies (cheeses, wines, etc.). From here it is possible to reach and enjoy the common garden of the house.
Ideal for couples or families wishing to spend a week or more immersed in the splendid scenery offered by the natural basin in which Marolta is located, in an ancient building full of history, without renouncing intimacy and modern comforts.
Marolta can be reached by car. For guests of CĂ Nizza there is a private car park next to the house and a public car park located 50 m from CĂ Nizza where there is a charging station for electric cars. By public transport it is possible to reach the bus stop of the Autolinee Bleniesi located in Traversa, 1 km away on foot.
The location offers countless possibilities for hiking or mountain biking, either directly from the house or after short trips to the Lukmanier region, the Greina valley or the Nara area.
