Segno is a small village in the Savona hinterland that surprises with its authenticity, traditions and natural and historical beauty. One of the main points of interest is the Church of San Maurizio, a Baroque building rebuilt in the 18th century, which houses important works of art and an impressive wooden crucifix thought to be by Maragliano. Not far away, the smaller but fascinating Oratory of Santa Margherita is also worth a visit, with 17th-century sacred furnishings and two processional crucifixes. On the hill above the village are the ruins of the Del Carretto castle, an ancient medieval fortress dominating the valley.
