Great Cabin

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. The pool was great with A nice place to eat at located at the pool. Location was convenient. Cabin was very clean and comfortable. Only negative is the hot tub never got hot. But other than that it was a really awesome stay.

Great place, great view

The place was way up the mountain making for an amazing view. It was cozy and decorated for Christmas. Only complaint was from friends staying in the downstairs bedroom saying when the heater kicked on it was a super noisy in their closet disturbing their sleep. I would stay again100%.

Awesome place!

My family and I loooove this place! Everything about this place was beautiful...the kids loved it! My teenager son loved it! We did not run into any trouble expect that the morning of departure all the lights went out and came back on and the alarm went off but that was easy to fix. If you want a quite getaway or family getaway I recommended this place. It’s the best way to make new memories!

Spectacular view

This cabin has a spectacular view. It is **way** up the mountain. Once you get up there you get the "look where I am" feeling. We saw 3 bears during our stay that were not a safety issue.. just walking by completely uninterested in us. Cabin was clean and we loved that our dog was welcome. There were plenty of canine visitors in adjacent cabins. Would stay there again.

Beautiful View

Overall a great stay, clean cabin, comfortable bedding. The ladder to the loft was different as the steps were staggered and far apart, but fine for teenagers. The only thing I think renters should know is that both bathrooms can only be accessed through the bedrooms, so no main guest bath. The kids loved the game room, adults loved the view!

Christmas stay

Pros: Cabin was beautiful, it was decorated for Christmas, plenty of linens, games and TVs for all. The cabin was exactly as pictured. Cons: Heater for the main floor couldn’t keep up with the cold temps. Toilets wouldn’t flush properly as if septic system was clogged / full.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have vacationed in the Smoky Mountains and were very disappointed in the location. The house was very nice, but was in a "development", right on the road. There was a good bit of automobile traffic and noise from folks coming and going during most of our stay. We were disappointed that the fireplace did not generate heat for the home, but was more for aesthetic value. The kitchen was not well-stocked. We may be spoiled from other Smoky Mountains, but this stay was less than we had hoped.

We do apologize for the disappointment you experienced while staying with us. We regret to hear that you had any issues. As you may or may not know all of our cabins are privately owned and we have several throughout Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. With each of the cabins being privately owned it can be a unique experience in each of them. The owner of the cabin had choose to put in an electric fireplace for an eccentric look and not for the heat. Unfortunately, we cannot find any recordings of you calling to share concerns about needing more kitchen supplies for the cabin nor do I show any work order requests for housekeeping to return. Had you said anything about your concerns during your stay we would have gladly sent housekeeping back to bring you the supplies you needed. We truly regret that your last visit did not exceed all of your hopes and expectations. Our desire at Eden Crest is to try and provide all guests with a wonderful vacation experience. While we are human and none of us are perfect our efforts were sincere and hope that you will accept our sincere apology in the spirit in which it is given.

Beautiful but not clean

This house had an amazing view in the best area. It was right down the road from the pool! The only bad thing about this house was it was dirty. There was dog hair everywhere. All over the sheets, blankets, pillows, etc... The pullout downstairs was supposed to sleep two of our guests that we had and it did not because it wasnt even a bed. The springs were sticking out of it, making it uncomfortable so they slept on the ground. We called and asked if we could get a new matress and they told us that someone would come look at it, which they did, but did not take any action to bringing us a different matress. Other then the excessive amount of dog hair everywhere and the matress downstairs, it was decent!

It’s the only way to grow and improve and that’s an important focus for us. Please accept our most sincerest apologies if your stay was less than satisfactory due to the issues that you mentioned concerning the sleeper sofa and cleanliness. It is not our intention to be the source of problems and issues but just the opposite. When any unforeseen issues or maintenance concerns arise we will always move quickly to address them as soon as possible. We were not aware of the dog hair issues and would have gladly sent cleaners back to address any oversight. We are also very sorry that it was never explained to you that the new mattress that was ordered would not be received within your visit. If sleeping on the couch unopened was not a viable option we would have typically offered an air mattress. We are very sorry if it was not offered to you during your stay. Please know that the maintenance staff member who addressed the bedding issue is no longer with us. We hope that you will accept our sincere apology in the spirit in which it is given. We will be sending you a gift certificate for a future stay. Please take this experience as an isolated one and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you in the future.

WON'T USE AGAIN

Several things went wrong with this visit, the worst of which was the lack of communication or care from the rental property management company, Eden Crest Vacation Rentals. Upon arrival, we noticed that the hot tub water was 44 degrees. We followed the steps to reset the breaker and "wake up" the hot tub from sleep mode, but nothing worked. So, we contacted the property management company and advised them of the situation. In a nutshell, the hot tub never got fixed and Eden Crest was terrible with communication. Their records show 6 inbound calls from me to them and only one outbound call from them calling me back. Even after they admitted they had terrible customer service, I was offered a minute credit toward my bill...which also never happened. There were other minor things wrong/incorrect with the cabin, including some items in the description that just did not even exist at all. Be careful when using VRBO. Make sure to find out who the property management company is and do your research. I won't use either service again.

It saddens us to hear that you did not enjoy your recent visit this us. Our goal is to provide all our guests with a wonderful and memorable vacation experience. We did make attempts to have the hot tub fixed unfortunately we cannot predict when something may break or require that a part may need to be ordered. We understand that everyone wants all the amenities of their cabin to work for the vacation. We did make attempts to correct the issue, with your staying being during the Thanksgiving holiday that does slow down the third-party vendor schedule and delayed part delivery. We are saddened to hear that our attempts to make amends were not to your satisfaction. However, we are a small business that does act with integrity in all that we do. It is never our intention to be the source of problems or stress during your stay but just the opposite. Unfortunately, we have very different perceptions of what is fair and reasonable in this circumstance. You claim that the guest is always right and that no matter what they ask a company should comply with the demands regardless if reasonable or not. We are human and can make mistakes so we will always make efforts to apologize and make amends but there seems to be a handful of individuals out there that think that they make unfounded or unreasonable allegations and demand reimbursement so they can get something free. We are an honest small business that must do the right thing for our guests, but we cannot comply with unreasonable demands simply to avoid dealing with the truth. We get many more compliments from our team on their customer service than complaints. Yes, we can make mistakes and we cannot predict when something will break but we have a great team that is always fast to act on making things right for the guest. It is extremely unfortunate that you refused to accept our apologies.

A true “dreamy” experience

This cabin is everything you are looking for when it comes to a bucket list trip to the Smokey Mountains location. The view is indescribably beautiful. The location is prime. Less than 20 minutes to the majority of the attractions in the area. The hot tub is huge and it gets hot!!! If you are not here for winter, that’s fine, there’s a nice pool area just a 30 second walk from the cabin. The cabin was very clean, it was decorated for the time of the year, (Christmas for us) and it was very spacious. You will wake up to breathtaking views with nothing to block your views. Worth it for sure
