Assis sur presque 2 acres de terrain principalement boisé, avec 800 pieds de bord du lac, cette maison offre une retraite de campagne tranquille située sur une crique d'eau profonde. L'établissement dispose de sa propre rampe de mise à l'eau et d'un quai. Il y a une grande terrasse donnant sur l'eau avec un gril à gaz pour les repas à l'extérieur. La chambre principale king-size donne sur le lac, tout comme la plus petite chambre lits jumeaux. À l'avant de la maison se trouve une chambre avec un grand lit. Le salon est grand avec un canapé et des chaises surdimensionnés. La cuisine a été récemment rénovée et est bien équipée. Il y a une buanderie avec laveuse et sécheuse. Cet emplacement est seulement un court trajet en voiture ou en bateau de diverses épiceries, marinas et restaurants.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The property is in a calm cove and we were able to swim and kayak. The Publix shopping center was very convenient. We had a nice, relaxing weekend.

Great Lake Getaway

Excellent location, deep water, very nice dock. Kayaked every day in the quiet cove and even saw a bald eagle. Plenty of room in the house for all 5 of us. Thanks for a relaxing long weekend!

Cozy cottage by the lake

Very easy rental process and communication with owner was excellent! Owner was very accessible if needed and responded promptly. The cottage is located in a large, quiet cove on the lake. Very relaxing time.

Wooded paradise on the lake

This house was wonderful for our family, the deck and dock were great to hang out on. We loved the ease of the boat ramp right on the property. The property was secluded and lovely. We did not want to come home!

2nd time was nice

We previously stayed at this property two years ago and we liked it so much we came back. Everything was well stocked for our stay. The kids loved swimming at the dock and the beds are comfy. We did not use the boats this time, but there were four kayaks available as well as a canoe. It's a great place to spend a relaxing weekend.

Very responsive host with quiet cottage on cove of Lake Norman. She was very accommodating to us and we greatly appreciate that. Had issues with internet/t.v. (not the host's fault--the company) if that is important to you. Beautiful spot on the lake.

Our kind of place

I wouldnt say were unsociable,but when im on vacation , I like to be kind of remote. This place had all that with lots of woods and far enough off the road to be quite . The dock was awesome and we caught a variety of fish. Our boys have a renewed interest in fishing again.the inside of the house was very clean and nicely furnished. I would definatly stay again.

Great rental for small families with children

We really enjoyed our stay at this little gem. The host has literally thought of everything needed for "glamping". The house is rustic on the outside and nicely decorated on the inside. Everything was clean and the host was very proactive in communicating with us, even offering early and late checkout for us. We spent lots of time canoeing, playing in the water at the dock and the boat ramp, and sitting by the campfire at night. The kids loved it! We plan to rent this house again if we get the chance :)

Absolutely beautiful!

We loved this property. The house is beautiful and has everything you would ever need. The kayaks were awesome. We spent several hours on the lake. Loved having the shaded deck to enjoy coffee in the morning. We also spent a lot of time on the dock sunning ourselves. Janet was great to deal with. Very quick to respond. We will definitely be back. Hope to make this our annual trip. This place it absolutely perfect!!

Amazing Vacation Spot

Our family of 5 stayed for a week and it wasnt long enough. The property is amazing and we never got bored. The lake is literally in the back yard. We sat on the back deck most of the time in the shade, and walked down to the dock to soak up the sun. My 7 year old had a blast swimming off the boat launch and fishing off the dock. We caught catfish, perch, turtles, sunfish and more. The property owner Janet was very accommodating and helpful. We will definitely be making this a summer getaway for our family.

Lovely lakefront get away

We had a wonderfully relaxing time at Janet’s lake house. The home is exactly as pictured. Very clean and well stocked with anything you’d need for a lake holiday. Living room is very comfortable with nice TV. We only used the master bedroom, but the bed was very comfortable and the beautiful lake view from the window was wonderful to wake up to. The kitchen was abundantly furnished. The dock is new and we enjoyed fishing and a little paddle in the provided kayaks/ canoe. We didn’t have any needs during our stay, but Janet was very responsive to our questions during reservations. We’d defiantly stay again.

Very homey!

Instead of staying at a hotel while we were house hunting in the area we chose to stay on the lake in this very cozy cottage with our two teens. It is nothing fancy, as the owner will make clear to you, but it is clean, well-stocked, and we immediately felt like we were home. The owner was very quick to respond to any questions. My kids loved the kayaks and canoe and my son caught a 24" catfish from the dock. We rented a pontoon boat from Lake Norman Marina for a day and had a great time checking out the lake from one end to another. The best part was we found a home we are buying on the lake so we will be able to enjoy Lake Norman for many years to come!

Wonderful Stay on Lake Norman!

Our family loved our stay at Janet's home on Lake Norman. The size of the home was perfect for 5 people with a nice sized master bedroom with bath. Everything we needed was stocked in the kitchen including coffee maker, pots & pans, plates, paper towels, etc. We used the supplied wood for a nice campfire! The best part was the dock on the lake. We swam, kayaked, floated and sunbathed in the chairs provided. The mornings were so quiet and beautiful. We also rented a pontoon for the day from Lake Norman Marina (highly recommended!) and was able to dock the boat to come and go easily from the house. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable trip and hope to come back again. Thank you!

Lovely Setting

We enjoyed the large deck and the waterfront setting. And the guest bath was a little difficult for four people to share, but we made it work. We arrived in the middle of a horrible thunderstorm and, although there are only a few steps to get up to the front door, they were slippery and there was no railing to hold on to. This may be a concern to people who visit who may have mobility limitations. The first people arriving had tight hard time finding the address, because it was printed in small letters and it was during a driving rain. A light or reflectors at the entrance would've made it easier to find. The beds were comfy and the master suite was gorgeous.

I am rather disappointed by your 3 star review as I feel that everything is as described in my listing and they’re all photographs of both the guest bathroom, and the front steps in the listing. Clean, Quiet, and Relaxing Lake Retreat

Top to bottom, this property matched its description to a T and we really enjoyed the quiet and the proximity to the lake with a private dock on a quiet inlet and tons of amenities making this a great place to stay for a Lake Normal vacation. We brought our own life vests just in case, but we needn't even have worried about that. We rented our own boat that was able to be put into the lake through the boat ramp at the property. We didn't get the chance to try out the kayaks but we did take the canoe out for a spin. We really enjoyed sharing this time with our kids and they had a lot of fun as well. The owner was extremely responsive to our questions and allowed us to stay here even though we were unable to do a Friday to Friday booking (ended up being Sunday to Saturday). The house was very clean and cabinets stocked with beach towels, books, and board games. Overall, we would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful, Relaxing

Beautiful,Quiet,Relaxing especially on the dock every night by the water. Get your groceries on the way in. A little drive to go back and get groceries. Kitchen counters had to be wiped off when we got there. Little dead ants all over them. Don't leave any open chip bags on counter. Put all food in ziploc bags and any pastries in fridge. Or they will be filled with lots of ants. We found out the hard way. There is ant spray. Once we used that it helped but they were still on counters everyday. Just not as many. Other than that this place is great! Great fishing off of the dock. Had a deer great us on the property one day when we came home from one of our outings. Must go to Big Daddys for seafood and Lancaster Barbeque! We will be back!

Clean, Cozy and Nice Lake Lot.

Rented this cottage at the last minute. I wasn't overly impressed with the photos, but nothing much left on Lake Norman for a 4 day stay on short notice. Always an adventure when you rent from VRBO. Never quite know if the photos match the real thing. We were pleasantly surprised that the pictures do not do this Cottage justice. The exterior from first view in front is nothing special, and well hidden from the road. The cottage inside was clean, roomy and well equipped. The AC was great, the beds very comfortable, and all appliances in great condition. The owner left a well equipped kitchen. It is rare to stay somewhere and not have some issues. But no complaints here. Bathrooms were very clean and good water pressure. This was a truly great experience. The backyard lot sloped down to a great view of the cove on Lake Norman. But plenty of privacy with trees bordering the lot. Very shady lot, but nice boat deck if you want some sun. We will try and rent again. Thanks, William Donovan

Great spot on the lake!

The house is cozy with comfortable beds, a well stocked kitchen, and a great view of the lake!!! We grilled out and sat on the deck. We plan to come back when the weather is warm!!!

Relaxing stay at the lake

The house is on a nice quiet cove with very little boat traffic. The kitchen was well-equipped. The property was well described in the listing. There was quite a bit of clutter in closets making them difficult to use without moving stuff. The deck and dock have many splintered boards making footwear necessary. There were plenty of floats, noodles, life jackets to use, and 3 kayaks and a canoe that were easy to access and fun in the cove.. The owner was very responsive when we had issues to resolve.

So quiet and peaceful

Our stay at this property was everything we hoped it would be and more. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. The views of the lake were beautiful. It's in a quiet little cove on the lake so there is so much peace and privacy. It's a short walk down a shady path to swimming and fishing off of the sunny dock. The kayaks and canoe were a treat to enjoy on the lake. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and we all found the beds to be comfortable. The owner was extremely accommodating and responded immediately to messages and questions. We will definitely be back again!
