Away from the crowds and set within a fabulous location in an AONB, for over 400 years Rock Cottage has stood alone on a promontory overlooking the stunning and ever-changing landscapes of the Helford River which borders the grounds on two sides. In peaceful surroundings, the large terraced gardens lead to the private woodland, jetty and foreshore where 'Peggy', our sturdy rowing dinghy is moored. Launch your SUPs and kayaks from here and explore the gentle tidal creeks.

Rock Cottage has full central heating with radiators, three bedrooms including the separate Garden Room and comfortably accommodates up to four adults with two children or is just perfect for two couples. It offers a light and modern kitchen/diner, fully equipped to high standards with all you need and the added bonus of a fabulous view! Relax in the luxury sofa and arm chairs in the fully carpeted and beamed sitting room. Situated on the ground floor is the well fitted bathroom which has a deep bath with overhead electric shower. From the sitting room, a fine wooden staircase leads to the landing, master and children's bedroom with their beautiful pitch pine floors and soft rugs. A couple of paces across the courtyard is the spacious, well presented and versatile third bedroom. New for 2018 are zip and link beds as well as a wall mounted 40" HD television. From each room there is a fabulous view of the garden, woodland, surrounding countryside and of course the Mawgan Creek of the Helford River.

Upon arrival, you will find this exceptional property beautifully presented, very clean, with easy to use facilities and everything in its place. The internet service is fast, reliable and included in the rent. Rock Cottage is personally prepared by the owners, Linda and Robin Dandy.

From early springtime the grass banks and woodland come alive with thousands of Cornish primroses, spotted orchids and English bluebells. Daffodils grace borders and pots. Outdoor seating is provided so you may enjoy a different aspect whilst the patio is perfect for your BBQ or a late breakfast. The grounds are planted with camelias as well as hydrangeas, and when autumn approaches, the beech, ash and oak woodland reveals another splendour.

Some children find plenty to do here and enjoy a game of swing ball, playing hide and seek in our woodland or crab fishing with a line and bacon from the jetty (buckets and lines supplied).

Rock Cottage has an excellent location for visiting many places on the Lizard Peninsula. Family holidays, special occasions, anniversaries or a couple wanting to escape from the daily routine, choose this haven.
