We had a great stay and enjoyed unwinding after Christmas. The owners really pamper their guests. The cabin and property is immaculate and they think of everything so that your stay is comfortable. Everything from a well stocked kitchen and bathroom to all the river and yard toys and plenty of fire wood for the burn pit. They aren’t kidding when they same just bring your personal items. Thanks a ton for hosting us we would definitely recommend you to friends and family.Mike

This place was absolutely beautiful! The view of the river was stunning. We spent so much time just relaxing and taking it all in. The home itself had everything we needed and more; the amenities made our stay so comfortable and easy. It was the perfect spot to unwind and make memories with my best friend. You can tell the hosts put a lot of care into the details. I’d come back here in a heartbeat!

The cabin, location, amenities, and cleanliness were exactly as described, and we truly appreciated that. We were especially looking forward to relaxing by the river, which was a big reason we chose the property, however the neighbors played very loud music throughout our stay- all day on the weekends, very early on weekdays and into the evening which could be felt and heard inside and outside the cabin. We wish we could have enjoyed the sounds of the river. I understand you can’t pick your neighbors but they made the experience very unrelaxing.

This place is precious. A small cabin perfectly located on the quiet river. The bed was comfy, the house very clean, the screened porch was absolutely wonderful! And we very much enjoyed the swing by the river. Would definitely go again.

Perfect location. Had almost everything we needed (except a lighter or matches for the campfire). The beds were comfortable. We loved being right on the river. The only thing that could be better is a hotter shower.

The cabin was perfect. The screened-in porch overlooking the river, watching the wildlife and kayakers, was so relaxing. The cabin was clean and the rooms were fully stocked with all the amenities guests would need. We wanted a quiet relaxing trip by the river, which was exactly what we got.

A Wonderful River Stay

Paula’s amazing river cottage was magical. The view of the river was great, and the energy was spectacular. Everything that you would need was there and available to use. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Thank you for a wonderful get away.

Great location right on the river

Great little cottage right on the river. My son enjoyed being able to fish whenever he wanted. Close to Luray downtown and to park. Didn't need to bring anything but our clothes!!

We felt great once we settled in. Has just about anything you need but food. I wish I would have brought bamboo poles to fish overnight, had a few kayakers all over the river during our stay so shore fishing was tricky. Go old school fishing with chicken livers. This place has set the standard for any other place we go. Had a great stay.

Gettin away!!

My wife and I needed some time away from work and responsibilities. Our stay at Chillaxin was awesome. We did go to Luray caverns, but other than that we just wanted to be at the cabin. So peaceful. And they have everything!!!! Clean and well stocked. Just bring your food and clothes.

Respite Stay

We’re so happy we chose this location to spend a few days together . The cabin was exceptional. It was very quiet and peaceful. Paula informed us every step of the way of any possible changes due to weather conditions. Thankfully there were no major issues. The only thing we were unhappy about was having to leave! We definitely will keep this home on our return list!
