This was an impeccably clean, lovely cabin. The kitchen is large and well stocked. The bedrooms were large and comfortable. The wraparound porch was roomy and secure for our dogs to wander while we enjoyed morning coffee. The furnace kept the rooms really comfortable even set at 68 degrees on cold nights. The fireplace heated the living area very quickly to prevent the furnace from running. We loved the large square kitchen table. I was able to work a puzzle on half while still having space to eat! I would be remiss if I didnât comment on one thing that was unclear to me in the listing. First, there is no hot tub. There is a jacuzzi bathtub in the master bath, but you arenât going to relax on the deck with your spouse in a hot tub to stargaze and share about the day or soothe sore muscles. There were two âawkwardâ things. One, the jacuzzi tub in the Master Bath is also the shower area. It can be difficult to get in and out especially if you have mobility issues. The owner has taken great care to make it safe by installing anti-slip strips and a wall handle, but itâs a pretty big step in and out. The guest shower may be a better option if the large step is an issue. The second is lighting at the stove area. While the kitchen is well lit, the area where you cook is dim. Thereâs a light under the microwave but it isnât very bright which made it somewhat dark sand shadowed when cooking at night. The owner is responsive & we really enjoyed our first VRBO experience!
