Confidentialité, confidentialité, confidentialité! Elk Point est le paradis des randonneurs. Dans les Smoky Mountains, au-dessus de Maggie Valley, en Caroline du Nord, cette fabuleuse maison en bois rond authentique se trouve à un peu moins d'un mile du parc national de Cataloochee Valley. La location de vacances porte le nom de la zone du parc national où les wapitis ont été réintroduits en Caroline du Nord. Le troupeau est en plein essor et peut être vu l'après-midi dans le parc, broutant les champs qui abritaient autrefois les habitants d'origine de la région. Elk Point jouxte le sentier Cataloochee et est la station de base idéale pour la randonnée dans le parc. Elk Point est une spacieuse maison en bois rond sur 10 acres privés. Il dispose de trois grandes chambres - une à l'étage avec un lit King et 2 au niveau principal avec un lit queen dans chacune. Une mezzanine avec un autre lit queen et deux lits jumeaux / gigogne donnent sur la cheminée en pierre dans la grande salle. Admirez de belles vues sur les Smoky Mountains environnantes. 10 minutes du parc Cataloochee. 20 minutes à Maggie Valley. 25 minutes à Waynesville, NC. À 35 minutes du casino Harrah, du jeu de hasard Cherokee. 45 minutes à Asheville, NC, maison de la maison Biltmore. Les excursions d'une journée comprennent le rafting en eau vive à Nantahala et Ocoee; Grandfather Mountain; Lake Lure; Sources chaudes; Biltmore House, et bien plus encore.* Remarque: La route vers Elk Point n'est pas adaptée aux remorques.

Amazing Mountain Rental

My wife and I love the outdoors and wanted a place to stay when visiting the Smokey Mountains National Parks and this was an awesome place! Not only does it have quick access to the Catalochee Valley but also was secluded and had ample privacy. It also had an amazing, beautiful, and picturesque sunrise view from the porch and bedroom. We will definitely be renting here again in future visits!

Wonderful stay

Secluded and peaceful

The cabin is well furnished and we loved being so secluded. An evening walk down and back up the driveway was great exercise, for us and the dog!

Excellent mountain getaway

What a weekend and what a stay! This mountain top cabin was just the destination we needed this Labor Day weekend. Perfect views, comfortable living spaces and a nice fire pit and hot tub to relax in after daily outtings. All around lovely.

Wonderful Visit

This is a great property that made for a very comfortable stay. Everything was as described, and communications were easy. This is a fairly technology free location (no wifi, poor cell reception, old TV), but that's what we were looking for, so this fit the bill perfectly!

Amazing view

Had a nice time in the cabin. The walk way up to the cabin is pretty tough especially unloading and toting everything up and back down. Besides that we had a great time and the best view in any cabin we have ever rented!

Thanksgiving 2022

First time ever going on vacation during Thanksgiving. I took all the food to cook there. Kitchen was perfect size. Family enjoyed the house. They all said it was perfect. The house is exactly as described. Views are amazing!!!

Great weekend spot!

The cabin was super clean, had some puzzles and toys, and even a treasure trove of 90’s movies that we broke into on a rainy day. The cabin and view are nice enough that it is pleasant to stay at the property for a few days without any real plans. Walks with young kids do need to be well supervised because your on the side of a mountain, but that was half the fun. The kitchen was fully equipped and we had everything we needed for our family!

Just perfect!

Absolutely loved our stay and hope to come back! Reviews were accurate when talking about the winding roads and driveway up! But we'll worth it! Kitchen was so well equipped with pots, pans, etc....I was able to cook to my hearts content. Views were incredible!

Elk Point Beauty

This home has amazing views from the porch. We enjoyed many hours just swinging and enjoying the natural beauty of the mountains. It is also incredibly near Cataloochee valley for elk and bear sitings and hiking. The road to the driveway and the driveway itself are a bit stressful but after a few times you get used to hairpin turns and watching out for oncoming traffic. Overall would incredibly recommend!

cabin in the woods

the view was amazing the cabin was clean and big lots of beds and room to hang out bathrooms were great size and worked well. the only part that was rough was as you see the pictures the walk up to the cabin looks somewhat flat it is not it is a steep hill you have to climb to go up. as long as you don't take your elderly mother it is so worth every dime to stay!!!!! loved it Phillips family

Fun in the mountains

We loved that the property was very private and secluded, however the road to the property and the driveway made things interesting! The property looked exactly as it did online and was very clean. There were 8 of us that stayed there and I loved the fact that the table sat 8 so we could all eat together, not a lot of other properties had a big enough table. It was big enough that everyone could spread out and have their own space when they needed some down time. We loved the weather there as it was over 100 heat index back home that week :)

The grill could use a cleaning. The upstairs stays warm. It is hard to make the whole place the same temp. Very loud but its a cabin!! Lots of positives but you know them!

One of the best places we have ever stayed!

If you are looking for wifi, people, or a party atmosphere, this place is NOT for you! If you are looking for a beautiful, secluded place to spend QUALITY time with whomever you are with, this place IS for you! The setup is perfect for a family or group of friends. Beautifully decorated with everything you need. Very convenient to Cattalochee Valley. I cannot say enough good things about the property and the hoats! The only things to be aware of is the driveway is steep but my friend's car had no issues, and the walk up to the cabin (30 yards) can be tricky for anyone with balance issues. These are not negatives, just things to be aware of.

Outstanding!

If you want to go to the mountains and sit in a rocking chair on the front porch and see the beauty God created, this is the place! The cabin is fully updated with what you need. We loved the charcoal grill and hot tub too! We'd like to come back next year. a week earlier! Remember this place is on a mountain and there are no straight roads going up a mountain, so be prepared. We had no problem! Memories forever!

Almost heaven

There was 7 of us, tons of room! Ages 6 to 85. Although the path to the house from the parking is a tad steep and uneven my dad went slow and made it. So keep in mind if your bringing older people who are wobbly. But the view is undescribable Its so beautiful. Rocking swinging and relaxing in hot tub. Loved it!

Girls trip

The house was great. The scenery was perfect. The drive up to the cabin was a little scary. Plan on arriving before dark. There were eight of us 40 years and older. The climb to the cabin was steep for us. One of the ladies fell carrying her stuff to the cabin. Perfect place but the seniors had a little bit of a hard time getting to the cabin. Once in the cabin a couple of ladies stayed in the cabin and didn’t leave because of the pathway. Everyone had a great time.

Immaculate and Central

Our stay who manage this property are great. I’ve never seen a house so clean. The staff were helpful and resolved a few issues during our stay. The only limitation of this house was the steep drive in and hassle with opening the gate. The grounds were nice but I see potential if they tidied up a bit more, did some gardening and tree trimming. Indeed it was remote and there is no WiFi or LTE with Verizon. That’s a plus or minus depending on what you want. I would suggest this property to those who plan to do a lot of hiking/exploring and using this as a central “home base”, and the cabin is somewhat perched on a steep hill.
