We did have a slight problem with an ant invasion in the kitchen. My grandson plugged their entry with some of my little granddaughters play dough !! Seemed to help

Very nice place

Overall it was a very nice stay. Check in and check out easy. Very nice pool and play set for the kids and close to beach. Only concern was the twin sheet set pack had toothpicks folded in the sheets. Seemed odd and potentially dangerous.

The property is new and as described. Pool is really cool. Road construction on the entrance is a little bit inconvenient, hope it will be finished soon.

Great condition, well-stocked with everything needed for cooking, etc. Plus it is right next to the pool. Couldn't ask for a better vacation. Padre Escapes, our rental company, was top notch and very responsive to our needs.

We were concerned that the gate between the property and the strip center parking lot behind us was not locked. They’re multiple families coming and going through that gate. We didn’t feel comfortable swimming Friday evening because the pool was extremely crowded. We didn’t know if many of them were visitors.

Disappointing

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We booked last minute because we wanted to have a good idea of what the weather would be like since it was January. When looking at different rentals, I was clear that a heated pool was a priority since my young grandsons would most likely not be able to go into the ocean. When we arrived at the unit, we felt the water and it appeared to be slightly warm but not what we would consider 'heated'. When I called Padre Escapes the next day I was told that there was a problem with the pool and it was actually closed. There were no signs stating this. They were surprised I wasn't aware because they thought an email had been sent out a couple of days before. I told them I did not receive anything and only booked a couple of days before. I was upset and asked if there were pools at any of their other properties which we could use and I was told that there were not. After telling them that I would not have booked the unit if I had known, I asked for them to refund our last night there since we decided that we would leave the unit 1 day earlier. They refused but offered a small refund (15%) instead. I even asked them to apply the night to a future reservation (this was my 5th or 6th stay booked thru them) but they told me that they would take it into consideration the next time we book - depending on the unit and when the booking was. They would not actually commit to an amount. In addition,. the unit bed configuration had a queen size pull out couch in the living room. It was not usable for an adult. When i told Padre Escapes they offered to give us an inflatable bed instead. They brought one to the unit but it deflated as soon as it was inflated so it was of no use to us. They offered another one but we did not want to bother with it since apparently they don't test the inflatables before bringing it to clients. Overall, we were not happy with the stay which is unfortunate because we have liked booking through Padre Escapes in the past.

Nice but needed help

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The layout of the house was great, very spacious with great access to the pool. We did have to call pest control because there were roaches, and also had to get HVAC out because the a/c wasn't working. We try to make the best of every situation, but it was frustrating. The staff were very polite and helpful with our issues.

My 60th Birthday

This property was a perfect fit for my family. The layout of the property is excellent. The pool and playground are directly behind the unit. My grandchildren and nephews could play safely without us having to worry about any cars or dangers. The unit itself is beautiful. Large and spacious open concept. We had 4 generations of family on one of the days there. Everyone fit comfortably and the master bdrm & bathroom downstairs was perfect for the older generation. My grandkids LOVED the playground and kiddie pool. We will definitely stay here again.

The check in/out process was awesome and convenient! My only issue and after this I was disgusted and having to check everything to make sure none were there, but I came across TWO huge roaches one in the down stairs bathroom and one in the living room.. I absolutely hate roaches! So this was a turn off for me, other than that as I mentioned above the place was great

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was nicely furnished and everything in good condition. The Keurig was a nice surprise. The pool was dirty, mostly top layer stuff that could be taken care of with a net. Bring a water hose to spray down beach stuff. There is a spout by the front door. The king size bed mattress was comfortable. There were a few cob-webs in the ceiling fan but in general everything was clean like the dishes, restrooms and bedding. And yes!, the tv actually worked with streaming ability.

Okay place to stay

We were able to check in 30 minutes early. Lots of communication via text & email. Condo wasn’t very clean. Back patio area wasn’t cleaned at all before our visit. Dumpsters were full and overflowing. AC, appliances, and plumbing worked well. We were with family, so smallish rooms worked for us.

Mini vaca

Searched for hours for accommodations large enough & that a wheelchair paralyzed son could use. Found, reserved, went, enjoyed, played & relaxed. Only complaint- to short. Family wants another get away. Will schedule again !
