One of our family's favorite places to be! A magical setting with gorgeous grounds but not so extra fancy that you don't feel perfectly at home. Can't say enough about the location, the pool, the beach, and especially our host, Maggie. We feel very lucky to have found this spot.

Lovely and very private home with super-comfortable arrangements for a large group of friends. Well-equipped kitchen. Maggie was very responsive to some of my specific upfront questions as I was prepping/planning, which I appreciated. The house is located in a very lovely part of Manchester, just a short walk from Singing Beach or downtown. While we were there in October so unable to enjoy the pool, the ping pong table, board games, and jigsaw puzzles were an added plus! Truly a great pleasure to stay there. Thank you!

Perfect for Family Reuniun

We absolutely loved our stay. What makes this property really attractive for our group is that the bedrooms are grouped into three separate wings, several bedrooms in each one. Walk to the beach, passes, parking, large outdoor spaces and a huge swimming pool gives anyone everything they need to make memories that last a lifetime. The family agreed we'll definitely stay here again.

Large comfortable house, good location

House is roomy, great for multiple families with pool and short walk to the beach. Location convenient to singing beach and Mosconomo park, ice cream, shops etc. kitchen well equipped, great for us since we ate out almost all meals. Highly recommend.

We absolutely loved it!

Lots of space for everyone, great pool, quick walk to Singing Beach, ice cream and Duncan donuts nearby. Very friendly property manager. Beds comfortable and adequate. Looking forward to returning to Manchester by the Sea.

Fantastic Location and House in Manchester

We had a large group of friends here for a wedding weekend and the spacious house and grounds were perfect for us. There is a wonderful walled game garden and pool area and the house is a mid century modern dream. Lots of.privacy but close.to beach and town

Wonderful week!

We had a fabulous week in a great, spacious home! Plenty of room, grounds and pool were beautiful and host and caretaker were attentive and communicative. Beautiful Singing Beach is a short walk and town is adorable. We will definitely be back!!

Communication with the owner and manager was excellent from start to finish. The location is amazing, with short walk to downtown one way (shops, restaurants, etc) and Singing Beach the other. The home is older so don’t expect brand new everything, but we knew that and it was still very clean and nice. Multiple gathering areas, both inside and outside, made everything very enjoyable and easy!!!

We were a reunion of 4 family groups so the fact that this home has wings gave everyone the privacy they needed to refresh before the next exciting family activity. The property manager kept in close contact and provided assistance & advice as needed. We would definitely recommend!!

Absolutely perfect for our large family

The house was wonderful with multiple different spaces for people to hang out. The yard, pool, and garden were all lovely- so much outdoor space for kids to play. It felt like everything was set up so well for large groups- lots of large cooking dishes, huge eating areas, and separate bedroom/bathroom spaces (with their own AC- so nice!). The neighborhood and surrounding area is just gorgeous as well.

Family reunion

Walks to Singing beach and downtown. Train to Salem for Haunted Happenings. Short drive to Gloucester for lobster and a schooner ride. Big meals made in the big well equipped kitchen. Great week.

Great family reinion

Wonderful stay and a wonderful fullly equipped home with a great pool, croquet grounds, and large yard. Near town center and Singing Beach. Everything is walkable. Perfect home for kids with nine bedrooms. Our best annual 4th of July family reunion with 14 people.

Second stay…still enjoyable

Second year staying at this comfy house which is a short walk to Singing Beach as well as to town center and has a pool. Had almost all our meals at the house which has an extremely well equipped kitchen. Lots of room to spread out as a large group. Had children 3-9 years old and adults including me and hubby in our 70s. House remains comfortable and a relaxing place to be.
Hubby sipping a gin and tonic while grilling some food, surrounded by the lovely landscaped yard.

Perfect for our family vacation celebration

The house had everything we needed. One of our guests had surgery in the last months and there was a stair climber. Perfect for our guest. There was a room of toys, games and puzzles and books. Our children never wanted to leave. The pool was great and private. Wonderful walks to town and the beach. Thanks for the memories.

yearly family reunion

Wonderful house to host 18 people plus one day visitors. House is located in the geographic middle of our family residences. I could not ask for anything else. House has it all.

Great house for multiple families

The house and property were well suited for our two families traveling together. The play room was great for the kids and even better for the adults keeping an eye on them! The large property with the pool area worked out perfect for all outdoor activities and the newer deck on the second floor was a great spot for a cup of coffee in the morning! Wouldn’t change a thing!

Perfect!

Our family of 17 (grandparents through 1 1/2 year old) loved our stay! The house was big enough that we could gather or scatter as we wanted, and location was beautiful. Some used the on-site pool, and we grilled and enjoyed the deck. We saw sights in Gloucester, Manchester, Beverly, Salem, and Marblehead that pertained to our ancestor 400 years ago. Fabulous memories!

Excellent Experience!

Our stay in Betsy's house was fabulous. Everything was as described in the listing, everything was in working order, plenty of towels and linens, the pool was clean, the decor of the house is a mid-century lover's dream come true and there is a fabulous play room fully stocked for children of all ages. We had friendly interactions with the manager, sometimes in big groups managers gets antsy, this was not the case here. We were treaded with respect and care. I highly recommend you stay here, it is worth your while to do so!

Fantastic Location & Excellent Layout

We loved Maggie’s place. We were traveling with my husbands siblings and their families, plus his parents and his Nana. The layout gave us all the privacy we needed, but also offered lots of places for everyone to hangout together. Everything you could want was about a 15 minute walk. We walked to the beach, to the park, to the grocery store, to the ice cream shop and to get coffee. We saw deer, fox and turkey and we heard coyotes! We loved that Maggie’s place was close to everything but still tucked away. Maggie’s was a great host. She was easy to work with and an execellent communicator. Check in and out was a breeze.

Family Trip

For our family of 12 with 4 kids 5, 7, 10, & 11 having a pool was our top priority and the pool was great! Darrin, the house manager and Maggie were both very responsive and helpful! The house itself was comfortable but showed some wear in places! The kitchen was well stocked and clean! There were air conditioners in each of the bedrooms but some were quite noisy and the mattresses on some of the twin beds were really hard! The property was within easy walking distance to singing beach and close to the train station and some wonderful restaurants! Overall a good time!
