Appartement original et agréable dans le centre historique de Menaggio

Casa Angiolina est un véritable appartement LOMBARD, dans le centre historique de Menaggio,avec une vue incroyable sur Bellagio et Varenna .
Vous serez dans un quartier calme mais au cƓur de la vie Italienne, proche des moyens de transport, des commerces et des lieux de vie. Avec ses 3 fenĂȘtres en façade, notre appartement offre une superbe vue sur le lac et la localitĂ© Ă  toute heure de la journĂ©e! Entrez chez nous, les persiennes sont closes pour s'abriter de la chaleur, ouvrez- les volets et admirez... !
Taxe de sĂ©jour Ă  rĂ©gler sur place : 3€ par jour et par personne.

BESOIN D'AIR ET DE VERDURE? De nombreuses promenades et randonnées s'offrent à vous (au départ du village ou à moins de 10 mn en voiture).
Besoin de travailler Ă  distance ? Nous disposons d'une excellente connexion Internet.

Le séjour-salle à manger :1 canapé convertible pour 2 personnes et deux fauteuils confortables. Pas de balcon mais les fauteuils se déplacent facilement vers les baies et vous permettent de profiter de la vue sur le lac et les montagnes 
 !
La cuisine est séparée du séjour par un arc et deux marches. Vous prendrez plaisir à déjeuner tous les matins face à la montagne majestueuse et goûterez à la douceur de vivre à l'italienne!!!
La chambre double : 1 grand-lit (160 cm).
La salle d'eau : douche, lavabo et WC .
Nous avons voulu garder à cet appartement son caractÚre Lombard, original et authentique (le batiment, bùti vers 1600, est dans notre famille depuis plusieurs générations !) : sols traditionnels de terre cuite, quelques meubles d'époque. C'est un appartement romantique qui allie le charme de l'ancien et le confort moderne.

La principale église de Menaggio ainsi qu'un espace de jeu pour enfant utilisé en période scolaire se situent à 50 m de la maison à vol d'oiseau.
Pas de parking privé et les places de parking public sont parfois rares dans le centre historique.... Il vous faudra envisager de vous garer un peu plus loin dans le village ( à 400 mÚtres / 7 mn de marche) pour bénéficier de la gratuité, surtout en été. A noter : lignes blanches = parking gratuit, lignes bleues = payant, cela s'applique partout dans le village.
La taxe de sĂ©jour demandĂ©e par la municipalitĂ© de Menaggio est de 3€ par jour et par personne, elle est Ă  nous remettre au comptant le jour du dĂ©part.

Le meilleur moyen pour se dĂ©placer est d'utiliser les transports en commun : l'arrĂȘt de bus le plus proche est Ă  50 mĂštres, la station de taxi Ă  200 mĂštres, le ferry Ă  350 mĂštres. DĂ©laissez la voiture pour un temps et profitez Ă  deux des lieux, de la douceur de vivre et des parfums de l'Italie .

My husband and I spent 3 nights at Sylvie’s property in May 2025. The location is ideal for exploring Lake Cuomo. It is walking distance to a grocery store, restaurants and a laundry mat. We used the ferry to visit other towns. Sylvie’s apartment had everything we needed for our stay including a couple of umbrellas (unfortunately we had to use these). Sylvie was always available to answer any questions we had. Lastly, the view was beautiful even with the clouds.

Great spot in Menaggio

We really enjoyed our 3 nights in the Casa Angiolina flat. The host Sylvie and Ketty are very helpful with information ahead of time and in constant contact during your stay if you have questions or need anything. The location is great, no need for a car after you settle in, just walk to piazza or the ferry. Plenty of things to do in the area, would recommend.

Amazing Lake Como Experience

This was an amazing property for exploring Lake Como. It was very clean and conveniently located to many amenities. It was also very close to the ferry station which made seeing other parts of Lake Como a breeze. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Fabulous place

We had a great time at the place in Menaggio. Wonderful views, superb location, excellent amenities. We have spent a couple of months in Menaggio in the past years but this is our favorite and will be back!

Eine sehr angenehme Wohnung mit phantastischer Aussicht

Die Wohnung befindet sich in einem traditionellen Haus im Ortskern und ist angenehm ruhig, nicht zuletzt wegen der neuwertigen Fenster. Man hat einen wunderbaren Blick ĂŒber den See und auf die Berge. Alles was wir brauchten war vorhanden und in einem guten Zustand, die Einrichtung durch die Mischung von modern und traditionell sehr ansprechend.Die Nachbarin, die uns empfangen hattte, war auch bei kleinen Problemen fĂŒr uns ansprechbar.

Superb few days in Menaggio.

Casa Angiolina is ideal for a short break in Menaggio. You're a few minutes away from the lakeside and accompanying bars and restaurants but close to food shops as well. Sylvie stayed in touch as our stay approached and the check in with Ketty was fine (bought some excellent prosciutto and cheese at her shop too...). We were lucky enough to get a parking space in front of the apartment and left the car there for whole of our stay... public transport is great round lago Como. We walked up to the rifugio Menaggio (bus to the start at Breglia), visited Bellagio for lunch, played mini golf, watched a terrific storm over the lake and got soaked walking along the lakeside the next day - all in all, a busy few days! We had dinner in the Pizzeria Lugano (300m along the way) which was good - best spaghetti aglio olio ever and Il Pozzo on our last night - neither disappointed.

Not Good for hot weather

This apartment is on top floor, when it is 90 degrees outside, it can be very hot. The owner refuses to provide a fan, claims fan is a fire hazard which I think is very unreasonable. The owner is remote, can not be reached. She has her friend managed the property who does not speak English very well. If you ever need anything after you get there, it is impossible to resolve. I also find charging for towels a bit strange, consider the towel they provide is really rough, it is probably better bring a travel towel with you. The location is very good, but the building is old, you can smell it. Due to the hot weather, we really had a tough time. We cannot imagine local resident does not have fans in their house. We did buy a fan ourselves to get by the three nights we were there, we gave it away when we leave because we do not want to be liable for ‘fire’. If you ever need to buy a fan, there is a shop just a block away.

Love menaggio

Menaggio was a lovely place to stay on Lake Como. The apartment was good with plenty of room and a great view of the lake. It was a little bit noisy with people coming and going at night and children playing on the church grounds opposite. Be aware if you want bed linen and towels you have to pay extra for 3nights a cost of 25 euro.

Fantastic week in Casa Angiolini, Menaggio

Our stay in Menaggio was spectacular!! Sylvie has a beautiful casa with everything one could need. The location is perfect for exploring Menaggio, the other lake towns, as well as Lugano on the Swiss border. Having a small grocery downstairs was fantastic for buying all our food daily, fresh bread, etc. and the church bells were charming. We were traveling by rail and had no problem getting around. Bus and ferry took us everywhere. The people were so warm and friendly. Thank you Sylvie (and Ketty and Giovanni) for an unforgettable week!!!

Historic apartment in a beautiful spot

We had a great stay in Sylvie's apartment. It is well-equipped for self-catering and Sylvie has left comprehensive information about trips, hikes, restaurant recommendations etc which we found really useful. The flat is right in the centre of Menaggio (very close to the famous bell tower, so you will hear the quarter-hourly chimes, but they stop at night!). Menaggio is great base for visiting Lake Como and we loved the beautiful views across the lake from the apartment. Sylvie was extremely helpful both before and during our trip, providing loads of recommendations etc. Ketty was on hand in her shop on the corner for any local issues.

Breathtaking views from a delightful apartment

We feel so fortunate to have found this apartment. Once up the stone stairs, we found ourselves in a light and spacious sitting room with a good-sized modern kitchen off. This was very well provided with crockery, utensils and cooking equipment. All three windows from these two rooms had amazing views over the house tops to the lake which changed with the light. The bedroom had a comfortable bed and sufficient clothes storage, and the bathroom was modern with a shower that was easy to regulate. The lake front with its promenade and restaurants was only five minutes' walk, Ketty's shop for delicious prosciutto di Parma and melon (as well as everyday bread) was 15 metres, and a supermarket only 10 minutes' walk. We loved the narrow streets and steps of the old town. We did not hire a car. We found the various buses which stopped just down the road reliable and cheap, whilst the boats were only 10 minutes' walk. So the position of the apartment was excellent for getting around. Sylvie and Mouloud provide lots of information in French and English. we were particularly interested in the walking possibilities; Menaggio is an excellent centre for hiking, though the weather was so hot in June we had to limit our ambitions. Our favourites were San Martino Chapel which we had climbed to by 10.00am and the Greenway. This we divided into two, combining one stretch with a visit to Villa Balbianello, and the other with Villa Carlotta. Lovely views are everywhere. We would love to return in Spring or Autumn for cooler weather and the opportunity (perhaps with car hire) to reach some of the further walks. Sylvie gave us lots of information before our visit and Mathilde in the Tourist Information office was very knowledgeable about walks in the area. Ketty and her husband were very welcoming , too. We will have very happy memories and beautiful photos.

Nous avons apprĂ©ciĂ© cet accueil tellement convivial de la part de Ketty et son mari , de toute l'attention prĂȘtĂ©e par Sylvie et Mouloud ... Un appartement oĂč rien ne manque de la petite cuillĂšre Ă  la documentation , sans oublier les conseils avisĂ©s des propriĂ©taires sur les restos , les randos , les ferrys et tout et tout ...Un vrai cocon ! un havre de paix aprĂšs les visites touristiques ... Le temps est passĂ© bien trop vite ... alors ,nous reviendrons !

Emplacement parfait

Appartement trĂšs bien situĂ©, Ă  Menaggio, village au bord du lac de CĂŽme. La vue des 3 fenĂȘtres est splendide. De nombreuses excursions sont possibles que ce soit Ă  pied, en bateau, ou en voiture. Nous avons adorĂ© la rĂ©gion. L'appartement est bien Ă©quipĂ© et il est trĂšs apprĂ©ciable d'avoir une multitude d'information sur les balades et les bonnes adresses. Le village de Menaggio est magnifique et on ne se lasse pas des balades au bord du lac, Ă  toute heure de la journĂ©e. Etant en pleine saison, la rue Ă©tait un peu bruyante et le clocher nous a tirĂ© du lit de bonne heure tous les matins ; mais globalement, nous sommes trĂšs heureux de notre sĂ©jour. L'accueil Ă©tait parfait.

Gepflegte Wohnung

Stilvolle, gerĂ€umige Wohnung im Zentrum von Menaggio, unkomplizierte, freundliche SchlĂŒsselĂŒbergabe. Alles Nötige war vorhanden, auch die beiligenden Informationen zum Ort und zur Umgebung (meist auf Französisch und Italienisch, seltener auf Englisch) waren hilfreich. Der Kirchturm in der direkten Nachbarschaft bimmelte laut und ausdauernd, was man aber der Wohnung nicht zum Vorwurf machen konnte. Abends musste man ParkplĂ€ttze in der Umgebung suchen, aber das ist eben so. WInziger Kritikpunkt: Zur Kaffeebereitung war nur eine Filterkaffeemaschine vorhanden, wir hĂ€tten lieber einen Espressokocher gehabt. Aber man kann seinen Espresso ja auch in einer der Bars im Ort trinken.

Lovely apartment, with amazing views, close to everything you need.

Booking the apartment was very easy, with helpful information provided by the owners. The apartment is well laid out and equipped,and you can look out to the lake from three windows. Grocery stores are close by as are buses to take you to hiking areas, or to visit other towns. We had a problem with luggage delayed 4 days, and Ketty who looks after the property was very kind and helpful. We love the area, and hope to return , both to Menaggio and this apartment.

Perfect place to stay in Menaggio,

We stayed at Sylvie and Mouloud's flat in Menaggio for two weeks in August. They are incredibly gracious people. They met us at the ferry and walked us to the apartment. The flat is in the heart of the town right next to the bell tower. We loved hearing the bells! They are a special part of the Italian culture. We even had a welcome basket on the table when we arrived with wine and goodies - what a surprise! They shared the family history of their flat and of the area. The view from the flat is amazing - I could have been happy never leaving the flat. The flat is in a perfect location and is a good home base. If you don't have a car, the bus is right at the bottom of the street. Bus tickets can be purchased at the Rock and Roll Cafe. Again, very close. The ferry is also close and you can easily walk to it. The promenade is a wonderful walk. There is even putt putt golf right on Lake Como! There is lots of information provided in the flat regarding things to do, places to go, hikes etc. Explore the towns on Lake Como. We loved Varenna. Plus Sylvie and Mouloud are happy to give you ideas. The flat has a well equipped kitchen, very nice bedroom and the pull-out bed in the living room is extremely comfortable. And of course - the amazing view!!!! We will return to this gem on Lake Como and will definitely recommend it to our friends.

Tolle Wohnung, gute Lage. Jederzeit wieder!

Wir wurden herzlichst begrĂŒĂŸt. Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet und hat einen tollen Blick auf den See. In der Wohnung sind viele Informationen ĂŒber die Umgebung und mögliche AktivitĂ€ten. Zwei HĂ€user weiter ist ein kleiner Lebensmitteladen wo man alles bekommt und man einen netten Plausch halten kann. Nur ein paar Meter die Straße runter und man ist auf dem Marktplatz. Kleiner Nachteil, ab 7 Uhr morgens geht die Kirchenglocke im viertelstĂŒndigen Takt, aber dann hat man was vom Tag! Wir waren bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal dort. Gruß aus OsnabrĂŒck

Nous passons environ 2 mois par an à Menaggio car mon mari et moi sommes à la retraite. Nous aimons prendre le temps de nous promener, admirer le lac et les montagnes à toute heure et en toute saison. J'aime beaucoup échanger avec vous avant votre arrivée pour vous proposer un séjour qui répondra à vos attentes. Nous avons créé un livret d'accueil regroupant nos suggestions de visites, balades et restaurants pour que vous repartiez avec , dans vos souvenirs et votre coeur, un petit bout de Menaggio et de notre Casa Angiolina !

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

Cet appartement qui fait partie d'un immeuble bùti vers 1600 est dans notre famille depuis plusieurs générations. En 1995 puis 2018 et en 2020 , nous l'avons rénové avec le désir de garder son caractÚre ancien et authentique et de le partager avec d'autres.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Nous sommes idĂ©alement situĂ©s en plein cƓur du village, des transports et de la vie italienne tout en Ă©tant au calme. Envie d'une glace ou d'une pizza ? Tout est Ă  portĂ©e de main, vous pourrez les dĂ©guster sur le "lungo lago" ou chez vous, avec sous vos yeux le lac et la montagne majestueuse.
