We spent the first day with the internet guy

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived and the internet was out due to a storm. The internet guy showed up and was there for 4 hrs. So we stayed at the house the first day since our check in was 4 pm. We only has 2 working TV one in the master and the other in the sun room. Not great for the whole family when 1 TV was on football. Dishwasher didn't work and we didn't find out till the day we were leaving. By then we had a full load and turned it on to finalize our departure.

Best Christmas

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The price was right for this huge house! The location near the north end is perfect for those who want a quiet beach, almost to yourself, just need to watch the tide charts. We loved the house layout, super good for a family as the bedrooms are more separate from the main house activity. You have a living room, dining room, den and huge enclosed porch. Lots of space to spread out! The living room was beautiful with lovely wood floors and tastefully decorated with very comfortable furniture. Best place to sit and visit or read. The furniture in the den was not up to par, at least by my standards and their position in the room did not make for easy viewing of the main TV. The kitchen had what was needed but it really needs an update. Dishes/plates were chipped and pots/pans need replaced. A couple cookie sheets, roaster and crockpot would have been useful. Although everyone knows to bring your own sheets and towels, but I'd recommend bringing your blankets also, as we couldn't find any decent ones to use (holes and stains). The staff of Jekyll Reality were super! Traffic on rte 95 prevented us from getting there by 5pm, but the staff had the door unlocked, lights turned on and a gift bag with necessities waiting for us. Thanks! They also came to our rescue when we locked ourself out of the house one evening! All in all, we had a super good Christmas on Jekyll, which was decorated in a magical and beautiful way. This was one of our best Christmas's ever!!!

Well Cared for Family Home

Reviewer Comments: Unlike many rentals on Jekyll this home has been cared for by a family that does not do summer weekly rentals which tend to "tear the place apart." Well taken care of and stocked with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Owners are upgrading every year. Look forward to returning next winter.

Unfortunately, many have mildew / mold smells that make the winter a miserable experience. This house has been well cared for by one family.We hope to come again. For others, put this property at the top of your list, you will not be disappointed.

October 2022 Stay

when we arrived there had been a bad storm the night before. xfinity arrived the day of our stay and was on site for 4 hrs. We didn't want to leave until he had completed the repairs. So our first day we stayed in the house. He was unable to repair one of the TV in one of the main rooms. The house had 3 tvs total. So this was a little upsetting since 31 days of Halloween 🎃 was on and half the family had to watch in the master bedroom. So the men could watch TV in the sunroom. Sunday we loaded the dishwasher after breakfast and gathered our belongings to head home. It was 930 am when I went to unload the dishwasher per instruction to find the dishwasher wasn't workings. We had already packed away the liquid dish soap so I am sure I will get a charge since we were unable to clean the dishes and put them away before 10 am check out. House is roomy but bring tablets of you have kids. Only 2 TVs were working out of the 3. We arrived on Thursday but had to stay onsite with the cable guy.

July 2021 Stay

This was our 4th year staying at this property for our family vacation on the week of the 4th. Every year we think it's just amazing and can't possibly get better and then BOOM 💥 The magic of Jekyll Island kicks in and this year is even better. The property had been completely upgraded since our last stay and was just amazing. The property was clean and super comfortable from the moment we walked in. The upgrades in the Jekyll room had our family entertained for hours and we even rode out Elsa and felt completely comfortable. The new beach access across the street was a nice addition as well. Our oldest son proposed to his girlfriend on there ten year anniversary on driftwood beach at sunrise BEAUTIFUL ❤️! Everything about this house, the location and amenities made for a perfect week on Jekyll. The folks at Jekyll realty are a complete pleasure to work with online, over the phone and in person. Older house with everything

An older but well kept house with lots of nautical decorations. We were biking so the location was great as it is close to one of the big trails. Being so close to the ocean, was also a bonus!

Absolutely lovely place

We had an amazing stay at Jekyll Island and A Gust of Wind. We loved the location and the amenities that this has house. We were very pleased. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Absolutely loved the Jekyll Room as that is where most of our time was spent in the house when we were there.

The house was upgraded since our last stay and was just beautiful and comforting. Everything we needed was there in the kitchen. Washer and dryer were great. The Jekyll island room with the new furniture was a wonderful place for the family to hang out. The newly upgraded beach access was great. The property was ready when they said it would be and very clean. We were comfortable from the moment we walked in. This house is a short walk to the beach yet the backyard feels like your away on your own island paradise. Beautiful wildlife fills the yard. The house i spacious and converting. I appreciated saving some money by making dinners at home. The majority of the pots/pans i needed were supplied. plenty of space for the whole family. my favorite spot was sitting with my coffee in the early morning on the screened in patio.

Beautiful decor, comfortable layout and everything you love about Jekyll Island right at your fingertips. Beautiful driftwood beach, the pier,Grand Dunes, the Jekyll Island campground store, golf, putt-putt, kids activities and numerous dining options all around the corner but yet the place is tranquil and secluded. Beautiful Jekyll room offers wildlife viewing in the backyard, deer and squirrel both coming right up to the window as we ate breakfast. House was very clean, well maintained and the staff at Jekyll Realty are always so nice and helpful. We cant wait until next time

December 2018 Stay

This being our 23th visit to Jekyll, it hasn't disappointed us. Brought along 2 teens who had never been here and now they are captivated by the island. The rental house worked out very nicely for the 4 of us. Lots of room to spread around and we loved the layout of the rooms. Only "beef" would be to have had nice blankets and some additional kitchen gadgets. Next time we must remember to bring things from home. The living room is beautiful and comfortable with new flooring and very nice furniture. We hope to come back for Christmas many more times, as the island is alive with beautiful Christmas décor and lights. So much to do!
