Lots of seating in living areas. Extremely well equipped kitchen. Great use of storage space in the smaller bathroom. Primary bathroom was huge! Great location as well.

Clean, beautiful, perfect space for a family with kids. Two minutes from the market restaurants and bike rentals. Love the free access to the two huge pools five three minutes away. I will rent this place each time I visit !!

Golf outing

We had a golf tournament at Jekyll Island Golf Courses. This house was right down the road from the golf course. Very convenient and enough space for our group. The only thing was the two showers in the house were small.

June 2020 Stay

We enjoyed our stay at Sea Garden. The house is comfortable and well-appointed. There is plenty of space to spread out. We have been coming to Jekyll for more years than we can count and have stayed at many rental properties. This is a good one! We love our island home away from home and will be back soon!

Jekyll Island Jewel!

The pictures do not do this Jekyll gem justice! It’s SO much better in person! I loved this place so much I hardly ever left. It’s comfortable, clean, cozy, open, airy, and inviting. And talk about character! The neighborhood is super quiet, too. I never heard a sound. Obviously, I can’t say enough about this “much better than home away from home,” and it was perfect for me and my puppers. It’s great for families, as well! If it ever goes on the market, I want first right of refusal! Seriously! : ) I want the furniture, too, by the way!

Wonderful home

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Perfect central location in a peaceful shaded neighborhood with lots of trees and wildlife. The house is terrific. The twin beds are good, the queen bed was bad and the king mattress was great on one side but hollowed out on the other side. I would definitely return to this house if the beds are updated. FYI - I loved the shower but I am 5'4". 165lbs and I didn't have a lot of room to spare. The showers would be very tight for plus sized people. All but one of the skillets are beyond use, they're teflon coated and only metal turners have been provided, so you might want to bring your own. There are some nice pots though. Overall the house was decently clean, the tub was dirty and we had to wipe out the drawers before we put our clothes into them. I really did enjoy this home.

Pleasant stay at Sea Garden

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Upon arrival we were very excited to enter and see the super sized Jekyll Room. As the first couple days passed it occurred to us there is far to much furniture and the over abundance made it seem as home may be used for storage. Shower and tub in master was good presentation wise, yet we had to clean tub prior to use as it had hair buildup in drainage area. The shower in master is only useful for those 5 feet or less. Other shower was sufficient. Cleanliness was not up to par as we began to notice that straight out of tub/showers our feet turned dirty upon walking throughout the house. College kids were visited by palmetto bugs on second night in bathroom hall. JIR called in for exterminator to spray, which was accomplished following day. Beds were comfortable. Screen door in rear of home (Jekyll Room entrance) slams as there is no lower door stop. Massive table ends at door entrance and is very tight to move around. We were excited at first for long table as we could eat at one end and play cards at the opposite end while still enjoying our meals. However, when playing cards second evening as I was dealing cross table the glass table top cracked. Not good, as later midweek a shard of glass went in bottom of foot. All and all a nice home, opening it up a bit and not having so much furniture would be much more inviting for family of four to five. Otherwise we'd recommend this home for larger family and or two families as there's ample space and furniture.

August 2024 Stay

This was our annual week at Jekyll. Unfortunately, this year Hurricane/Tropical Storm Debby happened to show up. Oh well, we’re stocked up. Power never went out. I’ve been in worse storms than this one. House was wonderful! Very comfortable. Kitchen had most of what I needed. I always bring down some of my own pans & other kitchen items! (I cook a lot). We had family in the house next door to us. This house is a pet friendly location and our 12 year old Siamese cat loved it here. Of course, he’s happy wherever mom is😹

Wonderful house; not so great showers!

Both shower stalls are so confining that if you drop the soap or razor it’s hard to pick them up! Also, in the master bath there are 2 large hard tile steps up into the shower stall, which is daunting for young children and grandparents. I would love to be able to rent this house again so I hope it gets at least one shower makeover at some point. Absolutely gorgeous house and landscaping, super location!

Great central location. Very comfortable. Has everything you need.

This home is an older brick ranch style house about a third of a mile from the Jekyll Island Beach Park, meaning the beach is a short 10 minute walk (or 3 minute drive) away. Most of the single-family homes on Jekyll are a bit on the older side, just like this home. But for the most part they're well cared for especially considering the amount of vacationing traffic they see. This home is like others we've stayed at on Jekyll: older, in pretty reasonable shape, comfortable, but showing it's age a bit. That's not a complaint, these homes fit the laid-back Jekyll vibe to a "t". We'd gladly stay here again. This is the third property we've stayed in managed by Jekyll Realty. They've always been extremely easy to work with. The check-in and check-out process is a breeze. They're responsive when you need anything. My single minor complaint would be that the floors were not very well cleaned when we checked in. They had probably been swept, but were a bit grimy and we did find a cigarette butt under one bed and several poorly discarded shrimp tails dumped in a corner (by a prior careless guest no-doubt). My wife ended up vacuuming the floors in the entire house our first day on the island because she likes to go barefoot and the grime was bothering her. A bit more attention to detail on the cleaning front and I'd have nothing but positive things to say about our latest visit to Jekyll (which won't be our last!).
