Une retraite incroyable vous attend dans cette magnifique maison en bois rond impeccablement entretenue avec une vue imprenable sur le mont Mansfield (station de ski de Stowe Mountain). Idéalement situé à proximité du centre du village, des commerces et autres commodités. À quelques minutes de Stowe Mountain Resort. Cadre calme avec vue panoramique sur les montagnes. Escapade parfaite en famille ou multi-famille.

Cette maison à trois niveaux est idéale pour offrir à la fois une grande salle de rassemblement et plusieurs zones de retraite privée. Le niveau principal comprend une immense terrasse au large de la Grande Salle, avec un grill et de nombreux sièges. Un concept ouvert, bien équipé, une cuisine / salle à manger et deux chambres se trouvent également à ce niveau. Le niveau supérieur a une chambre principale avec salle de bains et mezzanine séparée. Le niveau inférieur offre une salle de jeux familiale avec un billard, un jeu de fléchettes et une télévision à grand écran. La chambre avec lits superposés pour enfants dispose de deux ensembles de lits superposés et d'un lit double. Le sous-sol de sortie mène au bain à remous extérieur, qui donne sur la montagne. Chaque niveau a sa propre salle de bain complète.

Une piscine intérieure, des toboggans et un centre de remise en forme sont disponibles à proximité pour une somme modique.

Great ski house at Stowe

A great house for groups about a 15 minute drive to Stowe. Well equipped and clean with ample hang out space for adults and kids. Hot tub, pool table, hill sledding and darts were extra fun. Tons of board games and a nice welcome basket with fruit, cheese and crackers.

Great family friendly stay

We stayed with 2 families including 5 children. The perfect place for a family ski vacation. Well equipped kitchen for cooking family dinners. Nice basement with bunk beds for the kids, TV and sofa area, pool table, and hot tub access. Very friendly and forthcoming landlord. We’ll be back - time permits ...

Amazing Mountain View!!

Could not say enough good things about this listing and it's owners. Shirly and Blake were extremely attentive and quick to respond with any questions we had. They provided us with information ahead of time and during our trip that made experience in Stowe so great. The house is in an amazing location with a great view of Mount Mansfield and short ride to town. This trip was one for the books thanks to Shirly and Blake!

Very high expectations were more than fully met!

Our family had a wonderful stay in Shirly and Blake's fantastic lodge. The view of the mountains from inside and outside is gorgeous, very easy access to and from the town of Stowe, restaurants, surrounding resorts, the Von Trapp Family Lodge grounds, numerous "swimming holes" and other attractions, ample room for our group of 8 adults, and fun things to do like the hot tub, pool table, dart board and games. On our first night we spent several hours on the deck reveling in the celestial show put on courtesy of the Perseids meteor shower. Wow! Shirly and Blake were very attentive hosts at all times before, during, and after our stay. We will definitely return for another family outing in Stowe. Thanks!

Great Home, Exactly As Described

This house was perfect for my family and me, which included 8 adults and 4 children. The location is great and the house is very private. The home is exactly as described in the listing and Shirly was very responsive whenever we had any questions. I would highly recommend staying at this home. The one downside - as is the case with any log-cabin style home - was you could hear everything in the home and from bedroom-to-bedroom. This would not have been an issue, except for the fact that we had several, very excited, young children. The upside to this is the home is great for kids (but keep a close eye on them if the woodstove is going!).

Beautiful log cabin with spectacular valley and mountain view

Our family, 3 generations, spent a wonderful week enjoying Stowe, skiing, and the fun of time together. The home is extremely well equipped and comfortable, with plenty of space for everyone to spread out or relax together in the spacious main living area. The basement is a perfect place for kids to play and, in this case, explore their Christmas toys. The kitchen had all the necessary equipment and a big island for cooking or eating as well as a large dining table. The house is filled with light and the main area has fabulous views of Mt. Mansfield and its ski runs. The owners are extremely responsive and helpful. They provided detailed instructions covering everything in the house and extensive lists of restaurants and activities. They responded almost instantly to any questions we had. They were also thoughtful enough to set up a lighted Christmas tree on the upstairs landing, which we enjoyed throughout our stay. We hope to return to this property; our 5 year old grandson asked, “When can we come back?”

Amazing Mountain Cabin - Perfect NYE Trip

Myself and nine other guests arrived on 12/30/2015 and departed on 01/03/2016. What an amazing way to ring in the New Year! Since the first day I messaged Shirly about the availability of this home she was beyond responsive and answered all of my questions perfectly. She made the entire process fun, easy and exciting! This home is GORGEOUS! This was the perfect cabin for all of us and fit 10 adults comfortably. The views off of the back deck were exceptional! On the first day we arrived there was a little fog and clouds but by the second day we had an amazing view of one of the mountains. The home was in excellent condition when we arrived. The home owners also left us a “goody basket” for our arrival which consisted of local Vermont food, drinks, etc. We are a group of people that love to cook and this kitchen was fully stocked with equipment to use! We were able to make large meals in the kitchen and also had an opportunity to utilize the outside grill for some meals. We spent a good amount of time at the house at night and were kept warm by the wood stove located in the upstairs living area. There is also a dart board, pool table, large (comfortable) couch and TV downstairs for entertaining. We used this space a lot. The mountain was about a 15 minute drive from the home. We also went snowmobiling and to the Ben & Jerry's factory which were a short 10 minute drive away. Overall, this trip was awesome! The group is still talking about it and we cannot wait to come back in the future! Thank you to Shirly and her family for allowing us to stay at their home!

DO NOT SMOKE IN THE HOUSE OR ON THE PROPERTY

If the owner finds even one cigarette butt on the property, you will forfiet your ENTIRE deposit! In addition to the standard VRBO rental agreement, there was an addendum for this property. That addendum clearly states that if you or one of your guests smokes in the house OR anywhere on the property you will forfeit your deposit. Unfortunately, this addendum was an attachment to the email and NOT stated on the email itself. A VERY expensive lesson to be learned. Of the ~10 adults in the house, there was a single smoker who NEVER smoked in the house but did smoke outside and left a few butts next to the garbage can. We should have read the attachment more closely because we lost our entire deposit. Having said that, this was a lovely home. The kitchen is well stocked. The views of the mountain are great. It is only a short drive to the village and the market is just down the street. The owner was very responsive to contact. Was extremely helpful as we were in the final days before our wedding and we were busy with our last minute details. The house is very well maintained and extremely clean. Please note, that up until we were notified that cigarette butts were found on the property, we had really great interactions with the owner and would have loved to come back to this house because the owner had been so accommodating. Our only suggestion to the owner is that in the welcoming email where information is given to access the house and asks that we take off our shoes, that the renters also be reminded that it will cost their ENTIRE DEPOSIT if anyone smokes ANYWHERE on the property including the outside.

We pride ourselves in being most gracious to our guests and offering a truly smoke-free home. We not only advertise the house as smoke-free on VRBO, but prior to reserving the home, renters are provided with the rental agreement and addendum, stating specifically the terms regarding smoking (which are highlighted). You are required to electronically sign the agreement and addendum prior to making your reservation. In order to maintain our integrity of a smoke-free home, we feel it’s necessary that our guests commit to the non-smoking policy, and provide assurance by agreeing to forfeit the security deposit should anyone in their party smoke on the premises. Prior to arrival, the renter is again emailed the rental agreement and addendum, which by now is the third time they are on notice that this is a smoke-free home and that smoking anywhere on the property is an immediate forfeit of the security deposit. It truly saddens us that the situation transpired. We bent over backwards to accommodate this renter both prior to their visit and during their visit. We felt that we had built a good rapport and therefore were surprised when all this transpired. The rating of 3 stars seems unjust, considering it was not anything that was done on our part that created the end result. Our accommodations and service should have been rated exclusive of the renter's guests’ behavior and the resulting forfeiture.

Truly special place!

We had a group of 10 friends stay for a summer weekend in the mountains and this home was perfect! The house is beautiful, and the main kitchen/living room area is large, comfortable, and great for gathering. The deck also has tons of seating and is a lovely place to sit in take in the views of Stowe and stargaze. Beds were comfortable and lots of kitchen supplies available for cooking. About 10-15 minutes from downtown and other areas of interest.

LOVED IT!

This house was amazing! Very close to the village of Stowe so it was just a short drive to get essentials and do shopping. Only 25 minutes from ebikes and the gondola ride. The weather did not cooperate with our plans however the house made up for it. Pictures of the views do not capture how intense the beauty is! We will return.

40th Bday Celebration

We visited the house with 10 men. It was the perfect size home for our group. Plenty to do inside and out. The property is nestled nicely into the hill so you don't feel like another property is right on top of you; very private. The view is spectacular; the house really had everything we needed. I would love to book this house with kids next time around.
