Excellent stay

We stayed over the Christmas and New Year period and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were courteous and professional and both Franklyn (the property caretaker) and Patrick (the chef) were truly outstanding.

Wish I was there now!

This place is really quite amazing. This was our first time to Watamu and we didn’t really know what to expect. The beaches here are so amazing and the people are wonderful. We did have a slight miscommunication right off the bat regarding dinner on arrival, but it was quickly remedied. Daniel was wonderful with answering questions about the house and it’s amenities. And once we realized that Franklin, the house manager, was really the one to go through for everything else, we hit our stride. I think it would be helpful to have more pictures of all the rooms and maybe a floor plan of the villa, so that people truly understand what they are getting. The bonus rooftop for watching sunsets was really great. But the third bedroom was not really usable for our family (three children 6 and under) because the stairs and access were outside, separate from the rest of the house. It is also helpful to know that the bedrooms have A/C, but the main room did not. Also, the pool is shared with three other villas, which was not a problem, but just nice to know ahead of time. We highly recommend paying extra for the staff. They cooked incredible meals and picked up the house while we were out and about. And it was so nice to not have to worry about cooking and cleaning up. Thank you for a wonderful vacation. We had such a great time that we will never forget!

Un petit paradis en dehor...

Un petit paradis en dehors des circuits touristiques. Cadre paisible, jardin magnifique et très bien entretenu, propriétaires charmants. Abram, l'intendant de la résidence, est très chaleureux. Villa et chambres nettoyées chaque jour, cuisinier talentueux. Petit conseil : les ballades en quad valent vraiment le coup ! 2 point importants : - La résidence n'est pas facile d'accès depuis Mombasa : aucun panneau de direction, c'est l'aventure dès votre arrivée ! - Lorsque les services sont payants, il faudrait que Abram l'annonce toujours aux résidents en préambule J'espère à bientôt, merci à Adriano & Luciana pour leur accueil chaleureux et souriant également. "Nous avons été enchantés par le cadre de vie, le confort et l''accueil (merci Abraham). Baobab villa est est havre de paix, un petit paradis! La qualité du service de cuisine est remarquable (merci à Justin). Enfin , je salue la cordialité de toute la famille Scolaro."

"This place is absolutely...

"This place is absolutely wonderful: safe, clean, peaceful, very well maintained, with very dedicated staff - 2 thumbs up for Abraham- who is doing his best to make our stay very enjoyable and easy. The building is of great quality- like in the photos- the garden is a little paradise with its beautiful pool and charming cascade. We stayed more than 2 weeks and asked for a cook so we enjoyed a four stars hotel facilities in a rented property which is a very good money value for a family of 7. The only little tiny negative point is: the access to the beach is not easy. But for us, this didn''t really matter as we spent a lovely and restful time in the property. Watamu beautiful beaches are very close by car. We will definitely come back with maybe friends who could stay in the other houses of the property. "

Peaceful and relaxing

We loved our stay at Baobab villas. From our arrival, Franklin was amazing. He showed us around our villa, discussed our upcoming plans and gave us information on how to get around. Ronald, our chef was also incredible. Very creative in cooking and accommodating for children. The villas were spacious and clean. Be aware the third bedroom is a separate entrance on the second level. Check out the upper level to view the stars! Wifi was consistent. The location is a short tuk tuk ride from town, but far enough for quiet after a fun day out.

Ottima villa a Watamu!

Bellissima villa all'interno di una piccola proprietà di sole 4 case in tutto, ben mimettizzate nel rigoglioso giardino tropicale, con buona privacy ,.grande piscina comune, pulità e ben esposta con lettini e asciugamani. L'interno è ottimamente rifinito, ed al nostro arrivo la casa era in perfette condizioni. Tre camere, tre bagni, salone, patio/veranda sempre in ombra per eccellenti cene e pranzi . Abbiamo scelto l'opzione cuoco e non ci siamo pentiti: Erasmo si è rivelato all'altezza della situazione e ha gestito benissimo le nostre due famiglie ( 7 pax). Gentilissimo e disponibile anche Abram, il responsabile delle ville, sempre pronto con siggerimenti e consigli.Mare e spiagge nelle vicinanze, 10-15 minuti a piedi, centro di Watamu con tuc tuc a 1,5 euro per 3/4 persone in 5 minuti.Ideale per 2 famiglie, da consigliare !

I LOVED IT! NO BETTER PLACE! BOOK IT NOW!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! I am a very judgmental person and the fact that I am saying that it is STUNNING really means something! My family is Kenyan- American and we were looking for a place to just get away and this was perfect! We will be booking again next year and we have been telling people all over D.C. about this amazing villa! I love the bathrooms! i know it's random but i though the design was so authentic and chic and it really stayed true to the Kenyan style. It is time to get away from the internet and read a novel by the pool. The owner provided magnificent customer service and I would recommend this to the royals!

Location meravigliosa

Villa bellissima, pulita, spaziosa e ben arredata e corredata. Ho soggiornato qua con amici nel periodo tra Natale e Capodanno. Tutto davvero meraviglioso. Non affaccia direttamente sul mare e non ha vista mare, ma cio' non toglie l'incanto e la confortevolezza. La piscina e' utilissima, uno spettacolo.... cosi' come il giardino tropicale molto curato. Una menzione speciale a Willy, Dominique e Abram che hanno reso il nostro soggiorno ancora piu' speciale. Proprietari in loco, disponibili e cordialissimi. Un caro saluto (e a presto). Jambo Jambo!

Ambiente da favola

Appena tornati da una bellissima vacanza a Watamu. La villa e' bellissima, inserita in un giardino tropicale meraviglioso ;l'ambiente e' molto pulito e curato cosi come la piscina tenuta costantemente pulita. Ottima la fornitura della villa con lenzuala cambiate nel corso della settimana ed asciugamani a richiesta. Forniti inoltre tele mare per la piscina. Accoglienza cordialissima e personale molto gentile; bravissimo il cuoco Willi e il suo assistente Dominique. Disconibilissimo Abram per qualsiasi occorrenza. A posteriori posso affermare con tranquillita' che la location ha superato di gran lunga le piu' rosee aspettative ed appena potro' tornero' al Baobab

"Vacanza da sogno!! Cosa ...

"Vacanza da sogno!! Cosa dire dell’africa e cosa dire della villa se non che sono un sogno. Esperienza esaltante nel suo complesso, la villa è veramente fantastica, inserita in un giardino ben curato tutti i giorni dal giardiniere dello staff, piscina molto grande e adatta anche a bambini che non sanno nuotare essendo l’acqua per buona parte molto bassa, un’oasi di pace e tranquillità a poco più di 1 km dal centro di watamu . L’arredamento e i particolari interni sono curatissimi, tutto è perfettamente funzionante e la pulizia quotidiana è impeccabile. Abram, responsabile dello staff, è superpresente e pronto a esaudire qualsiasi richiesta e ad organizzare qualsiasi gita (10 e lode!!). cuoco e cameriera sono la ciliegina sulla torta, qualità e servizio ottimi, è come essere in un albergo a 5 stelle con tutto il personale a disposizione. Super consigliata. "

"Eccoci qua, rientrati da una vacanza da sogno. Safari magnifici, ma la ciliegina sulla torta è stata l''arrivo in villa... Non ho parole per descrivere tanta bellezza, non saprei da dove cominciare, Abram ci ha accolti con un sorriso indimenticabile, allegro solare e sempre con tanta voglia di ridere e scherzare, sempre disponibilissimo per tutto, Morgan e Lucy??? ne vogliamo parlare??? coppia perfetta, 2 ragazzi d''oro, bravissimi in tutto, non potevamo chiedere di meglio.... Poi tuo padre, veramente gentile, una persona con cui perdersi delle ore a parlare ( ho notato che la parola non gli manca... hi hi hi ih) disponibilissimo in tutto, anche troppo, abbiamo passato insieme momenti veramente interessanti, ci ha insegnato tante cose... Ci ha fatto da cicerone a Malindi, ci ha portati a mangiare la pizza... guarda avrai un milione di cose da scriverti ancora... però mi fermo... Comunque complimenti ancora per la villa veramente MAGNIFICA... Grazie veramente di tutto con tutto il cuore... inutile dire che il prossimo viaggio in kenya sarà al Baobab Village.... Buongiorno, casa molto be...

Buongiorno, casa molto bella, bella la piscina, personale fantastico, ma sconsigliato a chi ha bimbi piccoli e necessita delle 3 camere. Avere il cuoco qui è davvero molto bello ed Abram vi aiuterà in qualsiasi altra necessità. Io sono stata delusa per aver affittato la casa con 3 camere (1 per me ed una per ognuno dei miei 2 bambini). Purtroppo non mi è stato detto che una era al piano superiore, ma esterna ed indipendente dalla casa e così abbiamo potuto sfruttarne solo 2, visto che i miei bambini hanno 3 e 5 anni, quindi di notte avrebbero potuto aver bisogno e sarebbero stati isolati se io avessi dormito nella camera sopra. Per me era un disagio in quanto i bambini, abituati in camere separate, si disturbavano a vicenda svegliandosi molto presto. Ci sono rumori molesti dalle 7h00 alle 17h00 per via di un cantiere adiacente: nessuna possibilità di riposare e di rilassarsi in casa o in piscina durante il giorno.

La signora parla di un cantiere quando in realtà si trattava di un vicino che ha deciso di fare una piscina con i mezzi che ci sono in kenya (mazza e piccone e non betoniere o altri mezzi meccanici)

"Normalmente le foto promettono quanto la realtà non riesce a mantenere. In questo caso non è così. La casa è veramente splendida, vicina alla spiaggia (altrettanto splendida) e fornita di ogni confort. La riservata gentilezza dei proprietari, mai invadenti ma sempre disponibili per ogni eventualità, ha reso il nostro soggiorno a Watamu ancora più piacevole. Personale domestico ottimo: efficiente e solare. Consiglio l''extra del cuoco, vera ciliegina sulla torta. Se dovessi tornare a Watamu non avrei alcun dubbio. Super consigliata."
