"Nous ne recommandons pas...
"Nous ne recommandons pas cet appartement. L'appartement est beau et propre mais nous avons eu trop de difficultĂ©s avec le service Ă la clientĂšle: les propriĂ©taires ont demandĂ© une deuxiĂšme avance, mais lorsque le premier chĂšque sâavĂ©rait bon ils nâont pas remboursĂ© le plein montant plus les frais administratifs; la clim ne marche pas toute la journĂ©e; on a lâimpression dâĂȘtre âsupervisĂ©â, les propriĂ©taires nous ont rĂ©veillĂ© le matin pour quâils puissent travailler sur lâentrĂ©e. We do not recommend this apartment. Although the apartment is nice we had too many customer service problems.
1. Before our stay, we sent the owner a cheque (237 euros). After we returned home the owners said that their bank had not accepted the cheque and asked us to send the money again. We immediately wired the money, which cost 256.70 euros (administrative costs included). Then the ownerâs bank accepted the first cheque. The owner promised (Oct 5th) to return the wired money â first 229 then 237 euros - but never the full amount plus administrative costs. Finally after 2 œ months, and numerous e-mails, we received a cheque for 237 euros.
2. The air conditioning is not as advertised. On arriving we learned that it is only available at certain times of the day and night â from 1400 to 1600 and from 1900 to 0700. Given the crushing heat and humidity in September this is inadequate.
3. We were watched and corrected by the owners. In a hotel setting we have never had this experience of being âsupervisedâ. The owners even entered our apartment while we were out, without asking our permission, although there was no reason to do so since they were not providing a cleaning service.
4. Finally, the owners woke us up in the morning because they wanted to do some work on the driveway."
