Amazing Vacation

Amazing trip

The stay was so wonderful. Great views, the communication was on point and was able to check in hours beforehand as we landed earlier in the day. No hassle for checking in and out, directions via email and txt was great. If you stay a week you get a complimentary car rental as well as a complimentary valet. Will definitely stay here again

Great communication!!

I must say our experience at KBM was outstanding! I have run several businesses and I believe communication is key….well KBM and the people of KBM are excellent communicators. From check in to check out we were treated with excellent services the KBM people answered all our questions which allowed us to launch into our holidays without a worry. Now sometimes things don’t run as smooth as you would wish and for ever one of our small issues the KBM staff offered a solution vs excuses…..impressive Thanks folks we will be back next year

Perfect for our family’s first time in Maui

Stayed with our 2.5 year old. Absolutely perfect property for our needs- beach and multiple pool options right on site. Supermarket in walking distance. Washer/dryer in unit was essential and much appreciated. There were even some beach essentials like beach chairs, a cooler and sand toys for us to use!

Excellent Stay!

KBM resort staff was excellent from start to finish during my three week stay! The free rental car deal was fabulous and pain free! The use of the garage was very convenient. The unit was clean, very comfortable, fully stocked and functional. Overall, the resort was great! The gym was a good size and well equipped. Having Duke's on the resort was super convenient. Also, the Whaler General store was nice to have within walking distance in a pinch for most anything you would need to get by. The unvented dryer took a little while to get used to, but by making sure that the lint reservoir is clean and by using the timed drying for at least one hour worked well! Everyone that I dealt with at the resort was very professional and helpful! I hated to leave and would definitely stay here again! Kudos and Mahalo!

The unit is beautiful

The unit is beautiful. Although it is not a direct ocean view, it does have a pretty partial view! The pools are amazing. The unit was fully stocked with sand toys, snorkel (but no fins), coolers chairs and towels!

Highly recommend KBM. Rarely does a company pay attention to the level of detail that KBM does. From our initial inquiry right through to our check out, they were on top of everything and made our stay enjoyable and stress free. We will definitely book with them again.

Beautiful location

Loved everything about this facility. Staff was great. My only slight complaint is that it got quite windy in the afternoons so we would leave the beach and head for the pools.

Run down basic condo

Relatively quiet condo, not very great views (minimal sea and minimal mountains). Entire balcony was in the shade all day, so that was nice in the heat of the day. Furniture was very old and run down, some parts broken. Carpet was extremely dirty with dark spots throughout, particularly in the living room. Bedroom and its closet was mold-smelling, and visible mold was found in the shower. Fly screen-broken. several light bulbs were burned out, oven door did not close completely, pull out sofa bed was terribly uncomfortable, sofa extremely dirty, and TV roku system and remote that was supposed to be in the apartment was missing. No salt/pepper, minimal and severely mismatched utensils and plates, no scissors, cooking items lacking. No decorations We have stayed at Honua Kai several times before, and this was by far the worst condo we stayed in. The condo needs a very significant remodel and deep cleaning, and attention to detail - and fixing of nearly everything.

Vacation with friends

Fortunately, we were able to rent this property next door to our friends. It worked out well with kids too. The resort is great and our kids were able to enjoy the pool. This is our second vacation staying at the Honua Kai. It is close to restaurants and the grocery store. If you're still deciding, just book this place! KBM has all you need to make you feel at home.

Excellent property and great vacation!

This is simply the best place to stay in Maui! We traveled with our two young children, and the variety of pools and on-site dining options were excellent. The management company was great and everything went very smoothly. Highly recommended!

This was a great condo! The review from the lanai was beautiful. The condo was sparkling clean. Communication from KBM was excellent from booking until the end of our stay.

Very nice condo unit and excellent service from managers

Beautiful property right on the beach at Kaanapali. Nice pools and direct acces to the beach. One bedroom condo with full kitchen was convenient. Rental car and free valet parking included was very convenient also.

We have stayed at the Honua Kai property many times. It is a beautiful property for many reasons!

Unfortunately,our experience this time was terrible. The property is still beautiful and the unit we were in was nice enough but when we reserved thru vrbo there was no mention of the construction out our windiw that began at 6:30 am and construction in the unit above us was constant.We reached out to KBM the management co and got very little...we had to keep reaching out to the reservation dept because the on island guest services dept was un responsive...when we finally spoke w someone that could do anything, we were offered 5%of our daily rate back if we would sign a nondisclosure agreement!! $84 to keep our mouths shut!!! Teo days before leaving we noticed a problem with the AC and because other guests had complained, a maintenance man from the resort knocked in our door...He couldn’t figure out the problem .I told him about the construction so he went to that unit and discovered that they had disconnected the AC! I called KBM to let them know but wasn’t able to speak to anyone who cared! I coukd be much more detailed and specific about our experience but suffice it to say... I will never go thru vrbo or KBM.... only directly thru an owner in the future!!!!!

Good stay, great unit

I guess this is more principle then anything, I will always and gladly consolidate my recycling and garbage. But if I'm getting charged a 155 dollar housekeeping charge(which is steep), I think they can bring my garage/recycling to the room. It was the only negative thought I had of our entite stay and it happened right at the end while reading the check out sheet. Mahalo
