Superbe propriété au cœur des Yorkshire Moors avec des vues à couper le souffle.

Une véritable maison de la maison, avec 6 chambres il y a beaucoup de place pour accueillir tout le monde dans le confort. Cette maison jumelée, récemment rénové, est à sa première saison comme une maison de vacances et peut accueillir confortablement jusqu'à 12 personnes, avec 2 chambres à coucher salle kingsize, une troisième chambre à coucher kingsize et 3 chambres doubles.
En dehors de la maison dispose de jardins à l'avant et à l'arrière. Il y a stationnement hors rue à l'avant et sur le côté de la maison. Le jardin à l'arrière a été récemment aménagé, offrant un jardin clos et sécurisé pour les enfants et les chiens. Dans le jardin il y a un grand barbecue, et salle à manger (12) et des zones supplémentaires pour profiter de la paix et la tranquillité de la région.
La maison est à distance de marche des commodités du village qui abrite publiques, salons de thé et boutiques du village vendant l'épicerie et des souvenirs essentiels.

Une visite à la gare de village est essentiel, de regarder ou de monter à bord des trains à vapeur.

Lovely house in beautiful location

Spacious, clean, very well equipped property. Comfortable beds. Lots to do in the area for a large family, something for all ages. Great communication with host. A lovely time had by the whole family.

Family Gathering

A beautiful, well equipped and maintained property in a fabulous location. Countryside views from all windows with in easy walking distance to village facilities ( pubs, tea rooms, post office, gift shop) including the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Plenty of walks from the doorstep to suit all ages. The whole family enjoyed our stay.

Family stay

House was spacious enough for our party of 8 adults and 4 children. And had everything we needed for our holiday. Parking for 4 cars if parked carefully would have been easier if didn’t have to shut the gates to keep the sheep out, they kept trying to get in as it was even though we had a dog! Lovely to be able to walk out the front door to shops, hotels, station with steam trains and circular walks. Mallyan Spout was a great circular walk but not for the faint hearted (unless you walk from the hotel which is a lot easier).Within easy reach of Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, Dalby Forest, Ryedale Folk Museum and some great landscapes along Rosedale and Glaisdale. Inn on the Moor in Goathland were very accommodating for a large party with children.

Family Celebration

11 of us stayed ages ranging from 86 to 2 and pets. Lovely peaceful location just on outskirts of the village, some walking necessary for a drink and food. Lovely spacious house with enclosed garden. Great local amenities pub used on several occasions. Would come again.

The perfect place for family gathering

For a large group of family and friends the house was perfect. All the amenities and equipment was there. The house is spacious and would like to have spent the same break during the warmer months when the nice garden would have been a great addition. Overall would recommend a booking to all.

Lovely house in a beautiful setting

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away in this lovely big house. There were 11 of us and the house is easily big enough not to get on top of each other. The house is vey well equipped. There is everything you could need. Lovely bathrooms and bedrooms that were spotlessly clean. We will go back without a doubt. Thanks James, for letting us stay.

Gorgeous house in lovely location.

This is a gorgeous house, very well equipped and furnished like it is a proper home, not a holiday let. Lots of space for lots of people, with a superb kitchen and lots of bathrooms for everyone. We had an amazing stay, with 10 of us being able to relax in this lovely house. thank you.

Helena at Goathland

I have just spent a wonderfully relaxing weekend at Goathland staying in the property Helena. Facilities in the house are comprehensive;it has been sympathetically decorated to reflect the era it was built, while attaining hotel standard modern kitchen and bathroom facilities. Every need is catered for, from the Welcome pack of essentials to the provision of entertainment: including TV, Dvd's, books, games indoors as well as maps and information to explore the local area. I would not hesitate recommending this property to family and friends!

We had a wonderful stay at this spacious house with it's lovely period furnishing and decoration finished to a very high standard. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked some lovely meals. The gardens both front and rear were beautiful and home to lots of birds looking to make their nests, this was interesting to watch from the windows. We were fortunate to be there when the Flying Scotsman,steam train visited Goathland railway station while doing special circuits of the North Yorkshire Railway. The house has easy access to some lovely walks both close to the village and further a field I am so looking forward to returning in a few months time when we will be able to Bar-b-q- in the lovely garden. We also had a lovely meal at the Mallyan Spout Bar which was a short walk away within the village. There was a good atmosphere and the menu was good. The house offers everything for all ages, our party ranged from 15 to 69. we all had a wonderful time. We are looking forward to booking our next visit.

We bought this property to run as a holiday rental. We had always dreamed of having a holiday home which we could run as a family business, so this is a dream come true. We have refurbished the house, decorated it from top to bottom, while rescuing many of the original features which had been hidden over the years.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

We love this area and fell in love with the character of the old property. The house was in need of a lot of 'tender loving care', but we knew that it was the house for us.
Whitby being on the doorstep is an added bonus as there is always something happening, whether it be a music weekend, the famous Goth weekend, or just a visit to the Abbey.
There is no finer sight than watching the sheep roaming free in the village or feasting on the heather; or watching the steam trains puffing through the area.
To say that the garden was over-grown would be an understatement! We salvaged various items from the garden and shed, from the servants bell (now in the kitchen) to a fire hearth (now in the master ensuite).

Although the property is conveniently located in the village, it is situated on a peaceful lane. There are lovely walks from the front door in all directions.
A new kitchen has been installed, complete with modern amenities while keeping the charm of the working AGA (recently converted to electricity). The breakfast bar enables you to have an informal snack or relax and chat while cooking. We have aimed to refurbish the house sympathetically, while also installing modern essentials, such as ensuites and modern shower rooms.
The garden is fully enclosed and so a safe area for the dogs to roam - we have dogs and they love to go for a walk on the Moors.
We love the village as it has everything you need on your doorstep there is no need to go any further if you don't want the hassle, a truly perfect holiday location.
