The one thing we were suspicious of was the air conditioning with the very terrible heat wave in Europe this summer, but it DID work, and very well. Thank goodness!

Our stay here was a perfect getaway! It’s a hidden gem (literally - chalkenging to find at first, and metaphorically). We loved how easy it was to get to Sperlonga, Itri, and surrounding areas, and the train station made it easy to explore beyond. Definitely have a car for this stay.

Great location

The stay at the house was very pleasant. The host was very friendly. The house is very nice and it is surrounded by a nice garden with a pool. It is a good location to visit the nearby cities of Sperlonga, Gaeta and Itri. Even a day trip to Neapel and the Vesuv region is possible.

Amazing house

We enjoyed staying in this villa with our adult children and friends. There was plenty of room for everyone. The pool was a lifesaver as it was quite hot during our stay. The owner was super responsive and kind - (I got worried about some hill fires early in our stay, he put me at ease and was very reassuring).

Fantastic Villa and exceptional value. The views are amazing with its elevated position, but be aware of the steep unsealed access road; it might influence rental car choice. The kitchen is very well equipped, easy to use and clean. We appreciated the extra cleaning by Valentina and Rafaelle during the week. WiFi is excellent strength- except in the downstairs pool bedrooms. The pool area was lovely with plenty of sunloungers and space. The tv sitting room with great a/c was much appreciated during the heat of the day. There is a very friendly cat who visits- but never comes into the villa, and insect repellent is essential- to be expected in the countryside location.Stewart the host was so helpful. He responded immediately to any queries, and our small plumbing issue was fixed straightaway by Rafaelle. The villa instructions were very thorough and useful- I would only suggest a hard copy could be kept in the villa for ease of use. We didn’t realise when we first arrived that the water wasn’t potable. We had a fantastic week in the villa and discovered a fascinating and beautiful part of Italy .

The photos dont do the villa justice

We spent 7 nights in late May. The villa is large, comfortable and the outside space and views are spectacular. We were super lucky to have fireflies entertain us in the evening. The pool is excellent and very safe being fully gated. The house is comfortable - the kids enjoyed the TV etc.

Brilliant Villa

We had a wonderful family stay, the villa met all our expectations and more. The views are great and the pool area was perfect for the kids. It is well placed for the coast, but also for small inland towns and villages which give the authentic Italian experience. Also, easy and cheap access by train to the wonders of Rome and the craziness of Naples ! We love Italy and would love to return to this villa. We even had a proposal ... great memories. Thank you !

Great week

Really enjoyed our stay in Itri and the space was perfect for what we needed - 7 adults and 3 children. Great to have a pool and enjoyed the fireflies nearby at night. Beautiful and quiet setting in the hills. Recommend staying there but just don’t leave any shoes by the pool overnight. Something took a liking to my sandals and chewed one of the straps off and ran off with one of the children’s sandals!

Great Property and location

Overall great property, but there are some bedrooms without Air Con, just fans instead. Pool was good, Kitchen was well equipped, Gas BBQ was good. Separate drinks fridge was useful. Lots of terrace space and two large outside tables with umbrellas. Small electrical issue in week 2 was sorted very quickly by Stewart and his handy people without any fuss. Cleaner and pool cleaner came in on Wednesday and Saturday as well, which kept everything clean and tidy. Would recommend.

We spent an unforgettable week at Villa Vagnoli! Our group of 13 people spanned three generations, and the house was absolutely perfect for us. There was plenty of space both indoors and outdoors, multiple bathrooms and showers, a fully equipped kitchen, and beautiful outdoor areas for relaxing and enjoying the surroundings. We did our grocery shopping in Itri, just a 10-minute drive away. A car is essential for staying here, as the villa is in a peaceful, secluded location — something we truly appreciated. It was wonderfully quiet and tranquil, exactly what we want on holiday. The pool was a highlight and a huge hit with the children. The surrounding area had comfortable sun loungers and great seating for spending time together. While we mostly enjoyed relaxing at the villa, we also explored nearby villages and beaches. Communication with the host, Stewart, was excellent — he was always quick to respond and incredibly helpful. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Everything was perfect from start to finish!

Born in Scotland and living in London. I grew up in Italy, Austria and France. So I speak Italian and some German / French.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

We love the views from Vagnoli. We have a peaceful rural location, wonderful small towns nearby, and the beaches at Sperlonga are fantastic. The lago lungo beach is 15km long with a good breeze for winfsurfing and the Angolo beach is sheltered. The house is set in it's own secure grounds, with olive trees and shade.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Large house in its own grounds with views. There is a very large terrace, a shaded portico and a smaller separate terrace. The pool has it's own gated terrace with views into the distance, sunbeds and umbrellas. Plenty of parking for cars.
