Ready to explore an amazing city and region? Ready to work from a comfortable home with excellent internet connection and desks in all bedrooms? Ready to share a holidays with parents and grandparents or just share a holiday with friends? House is rented in increments of 7 days in high season and a minimun of 4 nights the rest of the year.
Come and discover our spacious (238 square meters) holiday home situated in a peaceful neighbourhood in an enclosed lawned garden beside the tranquil canal promenade and within a few minutes of the centre of Périgueux, the region's historic capital. The superb swimming pool has a sliding dome cover enabling you to swim from May to September, depending on the weather. The electronically operated gate of the property opens onto the canal footpath from where you can cycle, walk, jog or roller blade for more than 50 km. You can leave the car on the grounds and discover on foot the wonderful Saturday and Wednesday markets, cobbled streets and fascinating shops, visit the theatre, multiplex cinema, t heInternational Festival of Mime in July/ August, museums, restaurants and cafés. This central location is also an excellent starting point for visits by car of the many historical tourist attractions of the Dordogne Region.
Other fees when you rent our family home are cleaning fees ( 90 euros) , electricity and gas (if your consumption is abnormally high while using AC or the heater, after checking your consumption on the meter). In 2024, our guests did use AC but no one paid a supplement.
Do you, like us, want to settle for a few weeks or a few months during low season in a new place? Are you on sabbatical or just want to enjoy the end of summer or autumn in this touristic region? Contact me and we can talk about your project and adjust the cost of the rental. It is a big house for up to 9 people. On the off-season, we have more lea-way to propose a lower rental fee adapted to different number of people. I am on the West coast of Canada, so an an answer can sometimes can take a few hours if you are inEurope. Let's talk soon!

Great property and location

Booking process was easy and communication with the owner was quick and efficient. The property was as described and a very easy walk into the centre, 15-20max depending on ability. Only one issue whilst there, electricity went out but this was rectified within minutes by the property manager, Nadia. She was lovely and very welcoming. Overall a great holiday.

Perigieux

Our stay was a really enjoyable experience. The house had everything you could need. Nadia was a wonderful greeting to our arrival. The pool was spacious and a real bonus in the hot weather and the local town was a short proximity to the house, making walking in for a drink or a meal effortless. Perigueux is a beautiful city. Three generations holiday

We have stayed here before and were not disappointed. Pool was a great hit for everyone. The large garden meant you could find a quiet corner when needed. 5 bedrooms also meant comfort for all ages. Very well equipped kitchen for home meals but equally near enough to town to walk in for a variety of activities or restaurants. Périgueux is full of history, interesting architecture and a wonderful variety of cuisines. Very enjoyable break.

Amazing Holiday

We took our family and grand children to this amazing house with just the best pool you can imagine. The house has everything you might need to relax and enjoy the lovely weather. Perigeaux is a beautiful place and we enjoyed entertainment and bars along the canal which unfortunately finished after our first 2 days but it was really well organised with live music and sand pits for the kids. The local restaurants were really friendly and obliging and we had some lovely meals. Just a tip to other travellers being near a canal don’t forget your mosquito sprays as we did get bitten and realised we needed it everywhere in the South. I can’t recommend this house enough for a family holiday which enabled us to teach the children to swim and have quality family time. Nadia was very welcoming and the house was very clean and tidy.

The directions we were given to find the property were excellent, despite the property being located off a named road, we found the property with out any problem. on arrival we were greeted by Nadia the owners representative who lives in the adjacent property, she showed us around the property, which is large with well proportioned rooms and explained where all the appliances and equipment were located. The location of the property was perfect, just a 10 to 15 minute stroll into the Centre of Perigueux, The best rout was via the footpath by the canal and river, then crossing one main road and a flight of steps by the cathedral and you are in the old part of the city. Alternatively when leaving the property if you turn right the path, which follows the canal is a pleasant way to spend an evening stroll with a series of foot bridges which cross the canal along its length.

Très bon séjour à Périgueux

La maison est très spacieuse, nous y avons séjourné à 6 adultes et 2 enfants. Agréable surprise en découvrant la piscine grande et adaptée aux petits et aux grands. En étant raisonnables avec la climatisation, nous n'avons pas eu le supplément indiqué par la propriétaire. La maison dispose de tout l'équipement nécessaire pour accueillir des familles. Merci à Nadia pour son accueil et son sourire.

un havre de paix à périgueux

Nne belle et grande propriété avec piscine couverte située à 10 mn à pied du vieux périgueux. très bon accueil de madame Colinet, toujours disponible. juste à côté de la voie verte idéale pour faire du vélo. quelques améliorations à faire du côté électricité avec quelques prises défaillantes. un très beau séjour!

Schitterende vakantie in deze woning

Zeer ruime woning in een heel rustige omgeving. Alles was voorzien wat we nodig hadden. De keuken was heel goed uitgerust. Prachtige tuin en zwembad. Er was van alles te doen in Perigueux waar we te voet naar toe wandelden. Alhoewel het niet al te warm was en het water in het zwembad iedere dag moest worden bijgevuld omwille van een lek, was het toch aangenaam zwemmen door de overkoepeling. Misschien toch iets om te overwegen voor de toekomst is vliegengaas voor de ramen. Dan kunnen die open zonder dat de bewoners opgegeten worden door de muggen.

Great place for a family holiday.

Very spacious, well equipped property which was a short walk to the beautiful town centre of Perigeux. Great sized swimming pool which we all enjoyed very much. The house was great for chilling and relaxing in as-well as being a base for exploring the region.

A great place to stay

Had a fantastic time for a week in perigueux. The property is very well located and it is just a short walk into town. The pool was excellent and a good size. House was very spacious and suited us well (4 adults and 2 children). Nadia and the owner were most helpful. We had a great time!

Excellent break in Périgueux

We had a super holiday at Couturette. The property was lovely (spacious, well-appointed, comfortable, and perfectly situated - on the edge of town, but within 10 minutes' walk of the centre), and with a sizeable, covered, private pool. There was plenty to see and do in Périgueux, which we grew to like very much as a town/city, but the house was also well located for trips elsewhere into the Périgord. Everything was as advertised in respect of the property and both Christine (the owner) and Nadia (caretaker - conversations in French) were very kind and helpful in all our dealings with them. I would highly recommend both the house and the care given to us in preparation for and during our stay.

Hello from Victoria, Canada! We are lucky to have a wonderful family home in Perigueux which I inherited from my mother. With my husband from Canada and our three children we have spent time every summer in the house. Our family is now composed of adults working in different areas of the world and we are not in Perigueux very regularly. It is important this house lives and is part of fun family holidays. So why not enjoy it?

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

The location is just awesome. It is right in Perigueux, minutes on foot of the center and the wonderful market. It is also easy to get out of town to head towards the touristic areas with chateaux, prehistoric caves, the Bergerac wine country and all the villages. You are also on a semi private road with only a few cars authorized and are able to enjoy ducks living on the canal, go on bike rides or just walk on what is called the Green belt going by our gate.

The chemin de Halage, has become the green lungs of Perigueux. Our home is along a canal and it is fun to bike, walk, cross to the other river, take the kids on the amazing playground two bridges down. All the family may be independent and go explore this safe city.
